The Ultimate Christmas Cruise
Treat yourself to a Christmas unlike any other as Magellan shakes off the gloom and grey of the British winter and cruises to the sun-kissed islands of Cape Verde, the Canaries and Madeira. Wander the pretty streets of Mindelo, past brightly painted colonial buildings, and through the bustling East-Affrican influenced markets of Praia on Santiago. Discover the black-sand beaches and volcanic landscape of Lanzarote, the palm-fringed squares of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the space-age curves of the seafront Auditorio in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Explore Madeira's capital, Funchal, or experience the exhilaration of a wickerwork ’toboggan’ ride from Monte down to Livramento.
Spend Christmas Day at sea and New Year's Eve celebrating on board or amid the street parties of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Step ashore to explore as Magellan calls in Gibraltar and the contrasting but enchanting cities of Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Leixoes as well as the less-visited Spanish port of Vigo.
