Springtime in Norway

Join us on board Columbus for a Bank Holiday voyage to explore two glorious fjords and two of Europe’s most historic port-cities. Cross to Holland to spend a relaxed day strolling the harboursidepaths and cobbled streets of Rotterdam, then relax on board Columbus as she sails north to Norway’s epic coastline. Cruise the twists and turns of Hardangerfjord, through a landscape of deep forests and towering mountains to Eidfjord, and navigate the vastness of Sognefjord on your way to the tiny village of Flam.

Fill your days with optional shore excursions, and follow crystal-clear rivers to hidden waterfalls or ride a mountain train through the spectacular scenery, and complete your fjordland cruise adventure with a day in Norway's delightful second city, Bergen, the unofficial capital of the fjords.

This morning Columbus docks in Bergen, with its narrow cobbled streets, medieval houses, vibrant harbour area and open-air Fish Market. Once a residence of medieval kings and queens, and the seat of a university, Bergen was also the birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg.

Don't miss the chance to stroll through the ancient Bryggen area, or admire the wonderful views of the city from the summit of 'Mount' Floyen, which are brought into easy reach on the Floibanen funicular railway.
