Full Itinerary

Day One

Board Astoria in Poole today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day Two

Enjoy a first restful first day at sea, getting to know the ship and your fellow passengers.

Day Three

Astoria arrives in historic Belfast, today. Explore the shops and cafes of the buzzing Cathedral Quarter, or visit the Titanic Quarter that pays homage to the ill-fated vessel. Alternatively, join an excursion to the iconic Giant’s Causeway.

Day Four

Magellan anchors off Stornoway, the capital of Lewis. Explore the town, or take the excursion to the mysterious and ancient Standing Stones at Callanish, thought to be nearly four thousand years old.

Day Five

Discover the small town of Tobermory, on the beautiful island of Mull, with its picturesque, multi-coloured houses encircling the waterfront. Step ashore to explore the attractive streets, or visit nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.

Days Six and Seven

The climbing outpost of Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis, is gateway to the stunning scenery of the Highlands and the Great Glen. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the perfect Highland valley of Glen Nevis, backdrop for movies like Rob Roy and Braveheart, and perhaps take in Fort William’s fascinating West Highland Museum.

Day Eight

Arriving in the Scottish port of Greenock, you might join an excursion to one of two famous and fascinating cities. In Edinburgh, explore the Royal Mile, shop in Princes Street or take in city views from the ancient Castle’s ramparts. In Glasgow, discover ’Scotland’s style capital’, with its culture, architecture and design.

Day Nine

Today Astoria arrives in Dublin. This great city of culture, once home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, is one of Europe’s most engaging capitals. Grafton and O’Connell Streets are popular with visitors, as are the city’s famous bars, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Day 10

This morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary’s, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain’s finest subtropical plant collection.

Day 11

Bid farewell to Astoria and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.
