Full Itinerary

Day One: Depart from London Tilbury

Board Columbus in Tilbury today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day Two: Amsterdam

At once historic and cosmopolitan, Amsterdam is our first port of call. Get to know this delightful, friendly city of picturesque canals and step-gabled buildings, perhaps visiting its world-class museums or exploring those enchanting waterways on a canal cruise.

Day Three: At sea

Spend today relaxing and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.

Day Four: Kirkwall

Today Columbus arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.

Day Five: Portree

The Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to explore. Spend the day in picturesque Portree, with its quayside fish 'n' chip shops, or join an excursion and head north, past the Old Man of Storr, to Duntum's Museum of Island Life; west to brooding Dunvegan Castle; south past the spectacular Cuillins; or even across the bridge to mainland Scotland.

Day Six: Tobermory

The small town of Tobermory on the beautiful island of Mull, with its picturesque, multi-coloured houses encircling the waterfront, is a delightful place to explore, as is nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.

Day Seven: Belfast

Early this morning, Columbus arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast ’stone staircase’ of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

Day Eight: Dublin

Today Columbus arrives in Dublin. This great city of culture, once home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets are popular with visitors, as are the city's famous bars and pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Day Nine: Cobh

Columbus arrives in Cork's long, narrow harbour at Cobh, this morning. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.

Day 10: St Mary's

This morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Columbus anchors here in sheltered waters, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.

Day 11: St Peter Port

Guernsey's St Peter Port welcomes us this morning. See 800-year-old Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, wander the cobbled central quarter and make the most of the island's tax-free shopping.

Day 12: Honfleur

Crossing the Channel, our next port of call is Honfleur at the mouth of the Seine. Wander the streets behind the pretty harbour, or perhaps join an optional excursion into the surrounding countryside.

Day 13: Arrive back at London Tilbury

Bid farewell to Columbus and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.
