Day One: Depart from London Tilbury
Board Columbus in Tilbury today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Day Two: Amsterdam
At once historic and cosmopolitan, Amsterdam is our first port of call. Get to know this delightful, friendly city of picturesque canals and step-gabled buildings, perhaps visiting its world-class museums or exploring those enchanting waterways on a canal cruise.
Day Three: At sea
Spend today relaxing and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Day Four: Kirkwall
Today Columbus arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.
Day Five: Tobermory
The small town of Tobermory on the beautiful island of Mull, with its picturesque, multi-coloured houses encircling the waterfront, is a delightful place to explore, as is nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.
Day Six: Belfast
Early this morning, Columbus arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast ’stone staircase’ of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.
Day Seven: Dublin
Today Columbus arrives in Dublin. This great city of culture, once home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets are popular with visitors, as are the city's famous bars and pubs, cafes and coffee shops.
Day Eight: St Mary's
This morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Columbus anchors here in sheltered waters, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.
Day Nine: Plymouth
Returning to the British mainland, Columbus will call in Plymouth. Step ashore to stroll along the Hoe, where Sir Francis Drake played bowls as the Armada approached, explore the harbour area's bustling shops and cafes, and perhaps climb the 93 steps to the top of Smeaton’s Tower to enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding coast and countryside.
Day 10: Honfleur
Crossing the Channel, our next port of call is Honfleur at the mouth of the Seine. Wander the streets behind the pretty harbour, or perhaps join an optional excursion into the surrounding countryside.
Day 11: Arrive back at London Tilbury
Bid farewell to Columbus and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.
