Make your way to Avonmouth to embark before Marco Polo sets sail this afternoon.
Days Two and Three: At sea
Settle into life on board and make the most of Marco Polo's many amenities as you spend your first two days at sea.
Day Four: Lisbon, Portugal
The Portuguese capital Lisbon stands on the River Tagus, down which the great adventurers sailed during the Age of Exploration. Today's shore excursion will introduce you to a city where the maze of narrow, hilly streets of the Alfamar district have stood, seemingly unchanged, for centuries.
Day Five: At sea
Relax, today, as Marco Polo sails further south around the Iberian Peninsula.
Day Six: Gibraltar
Today Marco Polo arrives at the tiny British territory of Gibraltar, set beneath its famous Rock. Explore the very British Main Street, and take the cable-car to the summit of the Rock, not only for the tremendous views to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, but also to meet the famous Barbary Apes.
Day Seven: Casablanca, Morocco
This morning Columbus docks in Casablanca, renowned for its connections with the celebrated movie, but today a world away from Humphrey Bogart's sleepy town. Startlingly modern, but retaining a sense of the past in its ancient medina, the city offers wonderful beaches, some designer shopping and the fascination of the gigantic Hassan II Mosque. Today also offers up the chance to join an unforgettable shore excursion to Marrakech to explore the tiny stores, alleys and hidden courtyards of the souks, and its vast, bustling square, the Djemaa El Fna.
Days Eight and Nine: Cadiz and Seville
Ancient Cadiz, with its elegant squares, great Cathedral and wonderful Botanical Garden, is a fascinating city. Step ashore to explore or to join our optional excursions, which might include a trip to Seville, the Cradle of Flamenco and the site of the dazzling festivities of its annual Feria. Stroll through the historic streets to the cathedral and its soaring the famous bell tower, visit the wonderful Alcazar and see the city's impressive bullring.
Day 10: At sea
Enjoy another relaxed day on board Marco Polo.
Day 11: Leixoes, Portugal
Today's call in Leixoes offers you the chance to join an optional excursion to Oporto. Famed the world over for its port wine, "Porto" is perched on granite cliffs above the River Douro, which is crossed by several vertigo-inducing bridges. Explore the Ribeira district, and perhaps visit one of the wine lodges for which the city is so well known.
Day 12: At sea
Look back on the wonderful memories of your voyage on your final full day at sea.
Days 13: Cobh for Cork
Early this morning, Marco Polo arrives in Cork's long, narrow harbour of Cobh. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.
Day 14: Arrive in Bristol Avonmouth
