A fantastic Christmas concert
Celebrate the magic and music of Christmas with renowned composer and conductor, John Rutter. Enjoy an evening of festive favourites and choral anthems, performed in the magnificent surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and The King's Singers, and round off your break with a visit to historic Windsor.
Leaving your coach pick-up point, in the early morning we'll travel to London and our overnight hotel. After check-in, we'll head to the Royal Albert Hall for our holiday highlight: John Rutter's Christmas Celebration.
Awarded a CBE for his services to music, John Rutter is perhaps best known for his choral epics the Gloria and the Requiem, and for composing music for the wedding of Prince William. But he's also one of Britain's foremost arrangers of Christmas carols. Expect an evening of sing-along carols, rousing fanfares and orchestral music - as well as choral pieces performed by The King's Singers and even a festive quiz.
After the concert finishes (at around 10pm) we'll head back to our hotel by coach.
This morning we'll visit Royal Windsor. Wander the pretty streets of this lovely riverside town, stop for tea and cake, or join our optional excursion to visit Windsor Castle. See the magnificent State Apartments as the Castle recreates a Regency Christmas complete with beautifully decorated Christmas trees and a themed display showing how the Prince Regent (the future George IV) celebrated during the early 19th Century.
We'll leave Windsor in the mid-afternoon, and should arrive back at your pick-up point in the mid-to-late evening at the end of what's sure to be a memorable, musical Christmas concert coach trip.
