Step aboard your cruise ship, Magellan, and settle into your welcoming cabin before the ship sails from Bristol.
Your first day is spent at sea, and offers the chance to relax and enjoy the many amenities aboard your cruise ship.
Magellan makes her first call at the historic port of A Coruna, or La Coruna. Step ashore to explore the atmospheric medieval quarter, stroll the extensive seafront promenade, or perhaps take an optional shore excursion to fabled Santiago de Compostela, the famous end point of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route.
Enjoy another restful day on board.
This afternoon, Magellan arrives at the tiny British territory of Gibraltar. Explore newly developed Ocean Village Marina, stroll along the very British Main Street or ride the cable car to the summit of the famous Rock for tremendous views out to Morocco's Atlas Mountains.
Spend a relaxing day at sea as Magellan heads towards the Canary Islands.
The first of our Canaries calls is Arrecife, capital of Lanzarote, where black sand beaches fringe warm waters. You'll have the chance to head to 'fire mountain' and to take a camel ride to the edge of a volcano.
Continue your exploration of the Canary Islands with a call at the great trading port of Las Palmas, gateway to Gran Canaria. Explore the bustling modern metropolis of Puerto de la Luz, or head to the palm-fringed squares of the old town, Vegueta. There will also be an optional excursion inland to take in some superb views.
Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands. Step ashore at the principal port, Santa Cruz, to experience 'the whole world in one day' - the chance to swim in warm waters, throw snowballs on the slopes of Spain's highest peak, Mt Teide, and shop in the capital's glitzy shopping malls.
Another sun-blessed paradise, sub-tropical Madeira offers a call in its colourful capital, Funchal. On this lush green island the wonderful Botanical Gardens are not to be missed, nor is an exhilarating wickerwork 'toboggan' ride from Monte to Livramento.
Spend another relaxing day on board as Magellan makes her way to Portugal.
Today you'll enjoy a visit to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. From here, the great explorers sailed to the New World. Enjoy an excursion through the maze of narrow, hilly streets of the historic Alfamar district, a striking contrast to the modern city's glass and steel.
Two days are spent at sea, as Magellan makes her return journey.
Magellan's final point of call is Cobh, departure point for over three million Irish emigrants - whose story is portrayed at the excellent Heritage Centre - and final port of call for the ill-fated RMS Titanic.
Disembark in Bristol after a memorable autumn cruise.
British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise. Since some countries require visitors to be valid for at least six months after the return date of the cruise we recommend that all customers ensure that this is the case. Holders of non-British passports should check with the relevant embassies to see if any requirements and restrictions exist for any countries visited during the cruise.
