Board Magellan in Liverpool before she sets sail this evening.
Today finds us in Dublin - great city of culture and learning - home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, birthplace of Shaw and one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets teem with shoppers, and the famous bars and pubs buzz with the energy of locals and visitors alike.
Today is spent at sea, getting to know your fellow passengers and enjoying life on board as you sail north.
Today Magellan arrives in Kirkwall, historic capital of Orkney. Wander the meandering streets of the 'Royal Burgh' and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral. Optional shore excursions will include highlights of the island, where history, archaeology, crafts and wildlife all play their part.
This morning Magellan docks in Bergen - an ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses, and birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Today Magellan calls at Olden, the stopping-off point for an optional shore excursion through more almost unimaginably beautiful countryside to the famous Briksdal Glacier, part of the vast icy mass of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, which towers over the eastern reaches of the fjord.
A scenic day, as Magellan makes her way into Hardangerfjord, cruising to Eidfjord. Here you can go ashore to enjoy an optional excursion through the beautiful surrounding countryside, perhaps taking in the famous Voringfossen waterfalls.
The next two days are spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories of the past few days as Magellan cruises home.
Days Eight and Nine
Bid farewell to Magellan, her crew and your fellow passengers as you return to Liverpool and disembark.
