Full Itinerary

Day One

Make your way to Tilbury and board Columbus, which sails this afternoon. This evening, enjoy your first dinner on board, get to know the staff and some of your fellow passengers, and look forward to the exciting days ahead.

Day Two

Discover enchanting Amsterdam, taking in the waterways that encircle the city and some of the major sights. Explore under your own steam, visit the city's world-class museums and galleries or perhaps take to the waters on a canal cruise.

Day Three

Today is spent at sea, with a host of diversions and entertainments to enjoy.

Day Four

This morning we'll tie up in the great natural harbour at Invergordon on Scotland's rugged East Coast. Step ashore to explore, or join an optional shore excursion, perhaps to Inverness in search of Nessie. Golfers may head to the fine course at nearby Dornoch, while whisky connoisseurs can make a pilgrimage to the celebrated Ord Distillery.

Day Five

The beautiful Isle of Skye welcomes us today. Explore the main town, Portree, with its delightful colour-washed harbour-side buildings, or perhaps head inland to walk the windswept moors, explore a coast teeming with wildlife, or visit Historic Dunvegan Castle, the world's longest continuously inhabited fortress, on an optional shore excursion.

Day Six

Arriving in the Scottish port of Greenock, you might join an optional excursion to one of two famous and fascinating cities. In Edinburgh, explore the Royal Mile, shop in Princes Street or take in city views from the ancient Castle's ramparts. In Glasgow, discover 'Scotland's style capital' with its culture, architecture and design.

Day Seven

Today's call in Belfast brings chances to explore both this unique city - where the gleaming Titanic Quarter is a must-see attraction - and the scenic Antrim countryside.

Day Eight

Today finds us in Dublin. This great city of culture and learning - home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, and birthplace of Shaw - is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets teem with shoppers, and the famous bars and pubs buzz with the energy of locals and visitors alike.

Day Nine

As Columbus arrives in the Irish port of Ringaskiddy you'll have the chance to head ashore to Cork, the historic capital of southwest Ireland. Discover this great trading city, or perhaps join an optional shore excursion into the beautiful rolling countryside beyond - to the fashionable resort of Kinsale, or to Blarney Castle for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone and receive "the gift of the gab".

Day 10

This morning we arrive in the lovely Isles of Scilly. Columbus anchors in still blue waters, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's and the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the world famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.

Day 11

Guernsey's delightful St Peter Port welcomes Columbus this morning, and you'll then be able to spend a relaxed day enjoying the beautiful Channel Island. Don't miss 800-year-old Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, or the medieval, cobbled central quarter of St Peter Port, where countless shops and colourful stalls offer tax-free gifts.

Day 12

Today you'll reach Honfleur, set at the mouth of France's River Seine. Visit this favourite retreat of the French Impressionists, with its harbour surrounded by gabled houses. Perhaps venture further afield on an excursion to Monet's idyllic house and garden at Giverny or to fashionable Deauville.

Day 13

This morning Columbus makes her way back up the Thames, and you disembark in Tilbury at the end of a wonderful cruise.
