Join Magellan in Bristol, and spend your first evening settling into life on board.
Relax as Magellan steams towards Scotland.
The tiny harbour of Portree is set on the sheltered eastern coast of the mystic Isle of Skye. It's gateway to a rugged landscape of windswept moors, the great Cuillin 'Hills' and a coast teeming with wildlife. Perhaps explore historic Dunvegan Castle, the world's longest continuously inhabited fortress, on a shore excursion this afternoon.
Discover the historic capital of Orkney as the ship docks in Kirkwall, where you'll find magnificent St Magnus Cathedral and, just a mile away, fabled Scapa Flow, where HMS Royal Oak sunk in WW2. Shore excursions will include highlights of the island's unique mix of history, archaeology, crafts and wildlife.
Another day is spent at sea.
Today you'll reach Honfleur, set at the mouth of France's River Seine. Visit this favourite retreat of the French Impressionists, with its harbour surrounded by gabled houses, and perhaps venture further afield on an excursion to Monet's idyllic house and gardens at Giverny or to fashionable Deauville.
Today's port of call is Guernsey's delightful St Peter Port. Spend the day exploring this beautiful Channel Isle, making sure to visit Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, as well as the medieval, cobbled central quarter, where countless shops and colourful stalls offer tax-free temptations.
Magellan sails into glorious blue waters to take in the celebrated Isles of Scilly. Go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, or take an optional excursion to stunning Tresco, where you'll find Britain's finest collection of subtropical plants at the world-famous Abbey Gardens.
Today we reach Dublin, one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Explore this former home of Yeats, Wilde and Joyce, shop on Grafton and O'Connell Streets or relax in one of the city's much-loved bars and pubs. Magellan docks in Dublin tonight, before sailing back to Bristol in the morning.
Arrive in Bristol, bid farewell to the crew and your fellow travellers, and disembark at the end of your cruise holiday.
