Day One

Leaving the local area this morning we'll head to Esholt, the village used as Emmerdale from 1976 until 1998. Stop for a drink at the original Woolpack pub (payable locally), here in the village, before we continue to the hotel with a stop for dinner en route.

Day Two

After breakfast we'll head to central Leeds for the highlight of your break - a visit to the fascinating, new Emmerdale Studio Experience. Housed in ITV's Burley Road Studios, the Emmerdale Studio Experience offers you the chance to get up close to the sets of Bernice's Salon, Smithy Cottage and the Dingles' living room. See costumes and props from the show, a quarter-size replica of the village, and have your picture taken behind the bar of the Woolpack.

The Experience is divided into a number of interactive zones and as you follow them round you'll discover how sets, storylines and characters are created and brought to life using careful craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology.

After the tour we'll head into Leeds to visit the city's Christkindelmarkt - one of the largest and most established German Christmas Markets in the UK. Traditional wooden stalls offer a wealth of handcrafted goods, gifts and traditional German delicacies. Soak up the festive atmosphere amid the twinkling lights, before we begin our return journey after lunch, arriving back at your original pick-up point in the mid-to-late evening.

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday. I did hear some moaning but I could find nothing to moan about. When I handed my key in I did say that I had enjoyed my stay and breakfast.

The emmerdale experience was great but the 5hour stop in Leeds on Sunday was way to long bearing in mind some of the people had been on the bus since 5 that morning and not getting to our hotel till8 o'clock at night was way to long

Overall I enjoyed the trip. Although it would make it a far better trip to incorporate the whole of the Emmerdale experience, rather than just go to the studios and the old Woolpack. I thought the Christmas market at Leeds was very disappointing. If you didn't want to eat or drink, there weren't many stalls there. I expected to see a lot more craft stalls.

Solihull Friends
Nice break but the journey there & back spoilt it!! 6 & half hours to get from Solihull to Leeds and 7 hours to get home was a joke!!! I'm sure that the pickup's on the way could have been organised better? Maybe motorway services but not in town centres!! Even the driver was getting annoyed about where he had to go. By the time we got there we were too tired to do anything & was in bed by 7pm. We had had to get up at 4am to get the coach!! Please, please sort this out because it puts me off booking again!! 😭😭
