Summer's hot ticket!
This June, Michael Crawford returns to the West End stage for a 20-week run as Leo Colston in David Wood and Richard Taylor's spellbinding adaptation of LP Hartley's novel. Don't miss your chance to follow Leo back to the summer of 1900 and rediscover this tragic tale of secret love and the end of childhood innocence.
Make your way down to London on Friday. Your hotel room will be ready from about 2pm, but you may be able to leave your bags with the porter if it is not ready when you arrive. Spend the rest of the day discovering London's shops and sights, and perhaps enjoy an early evening meal, before the taking your seat in the Apollo Shaftesbury Avenue as the events of 'The Go-Between' unfold on stage.
As Crawford's Leo rediscovers his diary from the summer of 1900 and drifts into reverie "dialogue and song flow together in one seamless, spellbinding whole, full of pulsing warmth". If the critical response to the original West Yorkshire Playhouse production is any guide you'll enjoy an evening of enchanting storytelling and unforgettable new music.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a leisurely morning, then spend a few hours shopping and sightseeing, or perhaps treat yourself to a little lunchtime luxury before you begin your journey home.
Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.
