Greek Islands Cruise Itinerary

Day One: Fly to Italy

Fly to Venice and transfer, by coach, to the port and board Norwegian Star before she sets sail late afternoon. Don't miss the chance to watch the stunning Venetian skyline recede into the distance as you begin your cruise adventure.

Day Two: Cruise to Kotor

Today you'll call at Kotor in Montenegro, a medieval, walled gem of a city clinging to the side of southern Europe's deepest 'fjord'. The old town, or Stari Grad, is criss-crossed by a grid of narrow streets dotted with ancient churches and splendid mansions. Don't miss St Tryphon Cathedral and the fascinating Maritime Museum.

Day Three: Cruise to Corfu

Corfu, in the blue Ionian Sea, is a verdant, flower-strewn island described by Homer as "a beautiful, rich land". Explore Corfu Town, or take an excursion to explore this colourful island, with its citrus and olive groves, ancient villages and monasteries.

Day Four: Cruise to Santorini

This morning, Norwegian Star drops anchor off Santorini. The rocky crescent of the island's shoreline traces the crater of the vast volcano that once erupted here, while the white buildings, cobbled lanes and blue-domed churches of the main town wait to be explored on the hillside above.

Day Five: Cruise to Mykonos

Livelier, but no less lovely than Santorini, is Norwegian Star's second island call - Mykonos. Visit the famous, harbour-side windmills, explore the cobbled lanes of the cosmopolitan main town, or stop for a drink and a bite in one of the many excellent bars and restaurants.

Day Six: Day at leisure

Spend a second day at sea relaxing as Norwegian Star sails back towards the Adriatic.

Day Seven: Cruise to Dubrovnik

This morning, Norwegian Star anchors off Dubrovnik, the exquisite 'Pearl of the Adriatic' and one of the Mediterranean's most stunning locations. Rising up out of the blue sea, the fairy-tale walls enclose a maze of red-roofed houses and historic buildings. Don't miss the opportunity to walk the ramparts of the city's walls and take in the stupendous views.

Day Eight: Cruise to Venice and fly back to the UK

Norwegian Star returns to Venice, this morning. Disembark here, then transfer back to the airport by coach to catch your flight home.

In addition to the ship's on-board amenities, you'll enjoy Norwegian Cruise Line's Premium All-Inclusive experience. This includes a selection of branded drinks, soft drinks and juices at no extra charge (over 21s only. 18-21 year-olds may qualify for beer and wine with the consent of a parent or guardian. All gratuities relating to on-board services, and daily service charges, are also included in the price.

Transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to the cruise terminal is approximately 20 minutes.

Combining transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your cruise terminal. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your cruise terminal. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Itinerary changes

Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.

Passport requirements

British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise. Since some countries require visitors to be valid for at least six months after the return date of the cruise we recommend that all customers ensure that this is the case. Holders of non-British passports should check with the relevant embassies to see if any requirements and restrictions exist for any countries visited during the cruise.

Our holiday started badly with our flight being put back 5 hours, which turned into nearly 7 hours meaning we missed the ship and had to spend l7 hours in a coach on a nail-biting drive to catch up with it. It was only because of the kindness of the coach company (there was no Newmarket representative with us after the first hour or so) that we had one hot meal in that time.

Once we were finally on board the holiday was good though we found that we really prefer a smaller ship.

Airline was delayed so we missed the cruise ship leaving Venice, (one of the high lights) we were then on a coach for 4 hours to arrive at a hotel at 11 pm. Given a meal of cold meat and a tomato. We were then told to be outside the hotel at 4.45 am to travel for 14 hours to get the ship.

We arrived with 30 minutes before sailing, and were rushed through to security, eventually getting to our minute cabin at 8pm exhausted. Not a good start.

The whole holiday was great, however,we were a little disappointed with the length of time we had in Santorini. The trip ashore was chaotic,we had to rush around to see what we wanted to see.Other than problems.

The cruise was fantastic, visited beautiful places, the staff & food was wonderful, would've preferred a room with a window but grudged each paying extra for it. Everything was well organised. This is my second trip with Newmarket holidays. Last year We did lake Garda.

This holiday was what a holiday should be for us, relaxing. From when we were picked up from the airport, to when we were returned to the airport, everything was very efficiently organised. the couriers were very friendly and knowledgeable , helping us through baggage control onto the ship and explaining procedure. The cruise was a delight, we had a nice cabin and the staff(crew) were so pleasant and helpful. the facilities on board were brilliant, eat and drink as much or as little as you liked, and all you had to do was show your boarding pass, great! Going ashore at the ports of call and going on board again was so easy even when you needed a tender. This was our first cruise, and to anybody who is thinking of going on a cruise, we can thoroughly recommend this one.

A relaxing holiday with breathtaking views when sailing into ports. The freestyle of cruising is ideal as you can dine when you like and the dress code is more casual. Entertainment on board was excellent.
