Day One

Fly into Dubrovnik and meet your Tour Manager. A coach will be waiting to carry you from the airport to your hotel - the Bluesun Alga - in Tucepi, about four kilometres south of the seaside village of Markaska.

Day Two

Today you're free to relax on the beach or by the pool, make the most of the hotel's facilities or gently explore your surroundings. Tucepi's gardens, and its bars, cafes and tavernas are close to hand, and the livelier streets of Markaska are just a short drive away.

Day Three

After a coach trip along the coast, today we'll cross from Orebic to Korcula. Discover the fortifications, narrow streets and long history of the island's main town on a guided tour, which also includes entry to the beautiful cathedral, then simply relax and let local life flow about you until we return to Tucepi in the late afternoon.

Day Four

Take a boat trip through the waterfalls, lakes and forested valleys of Krka National Park on today's optional excursion, floating gently upriver from the pretty harbour town of Skradin to the foot of the tumbling cascade at Skradinski.

Day Five

Step back into history on today's included tour. Discover the ruined remains of Diocletian's imperial palace in Split, and explore the labyrinth of narrow streets and hidden courtyards that shelter behind the ancient walls of the island-town of Trogir.

Day Six

Spend today relaxing on the beach or in your hotel.

Day Seven

Set sail into the blue waters of the Adriatic, today, as our final included excursion reveals the stunning beaches of Brac, Croatia's third largest island, and the vineyards and lavender fields of rocky Hvar. Your captain will host a traditional picnic lunch of fish aboard your boat.

Day Eight

Say good by to the hotel and its staff this morning as we return to Dubrovnik airport to catch your flight home.

Bluesun Hotel Alga ★★★★

This well-appointed hotel, in the heart of the Makarska Riviera, sits above a beautiful white-pebble beach shaded by pine trees and looking out over the waters to the islands of Brac and Hvar.

Too far from airport. Rep didn't seem too interested and didn't give correct info regarding excursions and no interaction at destinations and coffee stops

Great time but very long transfer, would have been better landing at Split.

Croatia is a beautiful place to visit. Only problem was the transfer time from Dubrovnik to Podgora. Much easier if we could have flown into Split which is much closer.

We enjoyed a very good week in Podgora . The hotel was very good , a good breakfast buffet but the evening dinner menu was poor . Some of the chefs could do with some more training and the whole setup needed replanning .

Problems with flight bookings as another unknown person was included by Newmarket Holiday in our party resulting in that other person being seated next to me and my wife seated many rows away. This was resolved by amicable discussion with the other person but neither Newmarket holidays or Jet2 would change the seating arrangements.

We received a letter from Newmarket Holidays a few days before departure to say that our hotel had been changed from the Bluesun Alga at Tucepi to the Medora Auri at Podgora.

The Medora Auri was a very nice hotel and we had a very nice stay there. However we were told by Newmarket Holidays that the reason for the change was that the Bluesun Alga was closed for "ongoing construction work and not scheduled to open until early July". This was clearly not the case as the Bluesun Alga was open and fully booked during the period of our holiday. I am not complaining about the change but please do not use excuses to cover what is almost certainly an over-booking problem.

Gorgeous scenery, beautiful weather. People very friendly. Hotel immaculate in a great location. Only negative really was the long journey in the coach on arrival to get to the resort and the first excursion was the same journey back again. There is a closer airport but I assume there is a reason why this can't be used.

Very enjoyable but getting to destinations hot and tiring , very hot in coach. Transfer from Dubrovnik too long would be better if flying in to Split. Excellent resort and hotel.
