Full Itinerary

Day One

Board Marco Polo in Hull today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day Two

Spend the first day relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.

Days Three and Four

Stylish Copenhagen, home to the famous Tivoli Gardens and forever associated with Hans Christian Andersen, is a marvellous city. Join the optional shore excursion to discover the world famous Little Mermaid, the Royal Palace and the grand stores that line the Stroget as Marco Polo spends the night here.

Day Five

Relax on board as Marco Polo spends another day at sea.

Day Six

Today we'll arrive in beautiful Tallinn. Step back in time as you explore the enchanting Estonian capital with its perfectly preserved old town, winding cobblestone streets full of storybook houses, steepled churches and ancient buildings, all watched over by Toompea Castle.

Days Seven and Eight

Marco Polo will spend two days in St Petersburg, one of the world's most glorious cities. Explore its incomparable Hermitage Museum, stroll down its wide canal-side boulevards, and soak up the modern 'European' atmosphere. You'll have the chance to explore the city's Haymarket, familiar from scenes in Dostoyevsky's novels, to gaze in awe at the opulence of the Marinsky Theatre, home to the world-renowned Kirov Ballet, and to visit the famous Summer Palace at Petrodvorets.

Day Nine

Step ashore to explore Helsinki, Finland's elegant capital. Explore the harbour-side fish market, take a stroll in nearby Esplanade Park, and don't miss the monumental neo-Classical buildings of stunning Senate Square, which have played the part of Moscow in many Cold War movies.

Day 10

Marco Polo will call at Nynashamn this morning, and you'll have the chance to head to Stockholm. Best explored on foot, the Swedish capital spans 14 islets and boasts a wonderful mix of historic sights and fine city parks. Its ancient heart is Gamla Stan, a beguiling labyrinth of cobbled streets, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Day 11

Today is spent at sea before Marco Polo arrives in Holtenau to begin her transit of the Kiel Canal.

Day 12

A final day is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories your cruise holiday as Marco Polo heads for home.

Day 13

Bid farewell to Marco Polo and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.

kingston upon hull Couple
was more on the sea than weve ever been before ashore trip time was ridiculous on some occasions. Never had such lazy on deck no help whatsoever regarding sun loungers except for the last day I guess when all disputed gratuity. No 1 person stood out for us except our cabin steward. they are the real workers. The bar staff in the sports bar hu so idle on 2 occasions we had to go to them to order after sat waiting 5 mins or so and there wasn't a handful of people in. then it took them God knows how long it took to bring your drinks, then they got our order wrong.

Enjoyable despite not returning to our port of origin for reasons that lacked credibility.

Skipton Single traveller
I was a lone traveller on this holiday and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it.
The Marco Polo ship and crew, including ALL the crew were a credit to the company Cruise Maritime. The food was delicious and very varied. Always served with pride. I really cannot fault any of my experience except that as a single passenger, I will have to save for longer to be able to take another cruise unless there are offers which I will consider. My pleasure to review.
