Full Itinerary

Day One

Board Marco Polo in Cardiff today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day Two

This morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Marco Polo anchors here in, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.

Days Three and Four

Marco Polo navigates into the heart of Normandy - heading to the ancient city of Rouen. We'll spend the night here, giving you the chance to explore. See the Place du Vieux-Marche, site of Saint Joan's martyrdom, the famous one-handed mechanical clock and the stunning Gothic cathedral, and perhaps join a optional excursion to Monet's lovingly preserved house and garden at Giverny.

Day Five

Today Marco Polo arrives in Antwerp, the Diamond Capital of the World. Explore the city, which was once home to the painter Rubens, or join optional excursions to the lovely Belgian cities of Bruges and Brussels.

Day Six

A final day is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories your cruise holiday as Marco Polo heads for home.

Day Seven

Bid farewell to Marco Polo and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark in Hull at the end of your cruise. A complimentary coach transfer from Hull to Cardiff will be available.

Cardiff Friends
We thoroughly enjoyed the time aboard. Disappointingly we were unable to go to Antwerp due to bad weather

We had a fabulous holiday. The ship was clean, the crew friendly and it was very informal. The food was absolutely first class. My husband thought it was the best food he had ever had on a cruise ship before. We purchased the all inclusive drinks package and enjoyed sampling some of the cocktails. It was really good fun. We have booked another cruise for next year with Newmarket.

Chepstow Couple
The entertainment and trips were poor compared with previous cruises on the Marco Polo.
Not enough time was given when visiting ports of call. We felt that we were kept on the ship for longer periods than was necessary. Was this so that we would spend more money?
The Antwerp visit was cancelled due to poor weather. The alternative port of call was Dover. This was a very unsatisfactory alternative.
On previous cruises we have had 'happy hours' in the bar. This did not happen.
It seemed to us that there were cut backs everywhere. Standards have definitely fallen.
We shall not be travelling on the Marco Polo again or on any other Cruise Maritime vessels. We were very disappointed.
