Board Marco Polo in Bristol today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Spend the first two days relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Days Two and Three
This morning Marco Polo docks in Bergen. This ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses was the birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Today's call is at Olden. This is the stopping-off point for a trip through the beautiful surrounding countryside to the famous Briksdal Glacier, part of the vast Jostedalsbreen ice-pack, which broods over the eastern reaches of the fjord.
Exquisite Geirangerfjord is one of the smallest but most beautiful fjords, its twists and turns marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient and beguiling villages such as Hellesylt and Geiranger. Disembark in Geiranger to take in the beauty of it all, or to enjoy an excursion into the interior.
The remote village of Flam is set in one of Sognefjord's most remote corners. From here, you might enjoy an unforgettable excursion, boarding the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway, for the beautiful journey to Myrdal, before joining a coach to travel through yet more breathtaking scenery.
The former fishing capital of Stavanger greets Marco Polo today. Step ashore to wander through harbour-side Torget, and this afternoon enjoy the breathtaking passage though Lysefjord.
A final day is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories your cruise holiday as Marco Polo heads for home.
Bid farewell to Marco Polo and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark in Cardiff at the end of your cruise. A complimentary coach transfer from Cardiff to Bristol will be available.
British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise. Since some countries require visitors to be valid for at least six months after the return date of the cruise we recommend that all customers ensure that this is the case. Holders of non-British passports should check with the relevant embassies to see if any requirements and restrictions exist for any countries visited during the cruise.
