Full Itinerary

Day One

Board Marco Polo in Bristol today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day Two

This morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Marco Polo anchors here in, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.

Day Three

Guernsey's St Peter Port welcomes us this morning. See 800-year-old Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, wander the cobbled central quarter and make the most of the island's tax-free shopping.

Day Four

Crossing the Channel completely, our next port of call is Honfleur at the mouth of the Seine. Wander the streets behind the pretty harbour, or perhaps join an optional excursion to Monet's delightful house and gardens at Giverny.

Days Five and Six

Marco Polo navigates into the heart of Normandy - heading to the ancient city of Rouen. We'll spend the night here, giving you the chance to explore. See the Place du Vieux-Marche, site of Saint Joan's martyrdom, the famous one-handed mechanical clock and the stunning Gothic cathedral, and perhaps join a optional excursion to Monet's lovingly preserved house and garden at Giverny.

Day Seven

A final day is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories your cruise holiday as Marco Polo heads for home.

Day Eight

Bid farewell to Marco Polo and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise.

MARIANNE

Maidenhead Couple
We enjoyed our holiday and thought the ports of call were very good. I didn't think the Guernsey trip was worth the money though but the coach driver/guide was excellent. The cabin was good but the bathroom was rather tired. Our cabin steward was wonderful and kept everything beautifully. The entertainment was excellent as was the food!

Our first cruise, and we were lucky to enjoy beautiful weather which only enhanced our visits on our chosen onshore excursions. We enjoyed visits to Tresco garden, Sark, medieval Honfleur and Monets garden at Giverny all of which we were able to tick off our bucket list. We were at all times well chaperoned on our chosen tours. The ship is spotless, and all the staff worked very hard. There was plenty of entertainment on the ship, from piano bar to comedian, cabaret and gardening talks, but if all you wanted to do was curl up with a book and a gin there are plenty of quiet corners. There is no requirement to dress formally for dinner, so long as you are happy with the self service restaurant where the food is excellent.

BARRIE

Getting to The Cruise Terminal in Bristol was a bit challenging. I would have preferred a detailed map rather than lots of sentences. But the parking on site was close to the terminal.

Luckily the weather was particularly good, dry and calm seas and the food and entertainment were perfectly acceptable.

I would be happy to cruise on the Marco Polo again.

We had a great time and enjoyed all the locations. The experience on the ship was very good with the staff very polite and helpful. Food was good with the evening meals been excellent along with very good service.

Only one shore excursion, which was to Monet's garden. This was excellent, although if you don't like crowds it's not for you.
