Day One

Board our coach at your chosen pick-up point and travel to London. Check in to your hotel and then relax until your late-afternoon transfer into central London. You'll have time to enjoy an early evening meal before the taking your seat in the Apollo Shaftesbury Avenue as the events of 'The Go-Between' unfold on stage.

As Crawford's Leo rediscovers his diary from the summer of 1900 and drifts into reverie "dialogue and song flow together in one seamless, spellbinding whole, full of pulsing warmth". If the critical response to the original West Yorkshire Playhouse production is any guide you'll enjoy an evening of enchanting storytelling and unforgettable new music.

Day Two

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a leisurely morning, then board our coach for a second trip into London's West End. Spend a few hours shopping and sightseeing, or perhaps treat yourself to a little lunchtime luxury before we head for home in the afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid to late evening.

Wellington, Somerset Couple
We enjoyed the holiday but felt it was very compromised by an additional number of people on the coach who were booked to see The Hive at Kew Gardens. This meant a considerable detour and amount of time taken up on the Sunday when we thought we would be having time in London. (Only 3 hours.) We had no idea that this would be included in our trip and would in fact have liked to have gone to Kew Gardens if we had known about it. I phoned the head office on the day before our departure to ask for information on the 2 day trip but the person informed me she had no information and we would be told on arrival at the hotel. Not very helpful! We could therefore plan nothing in advance.

This trip had obviously been amalgamated with others that included other shows on Saturday evening and a visit to Kew gardens for some on the Sunday to make the trip pay.
The result was a total shambles.
There was insufficient time allowed for us to unwind between arriving at the hotel and departing again for the west end. This resulted in us getting off the coach at the hotel, finding our room, both showering and then returning to the coach we had just been on for 5 and a half hours.
Then having to wander about the west end in our theatre clothes for over 2 hours until we could enter the Apollo theatre.
After all this we arrived back at the hotel at 00.30 only to be informed that we would be departing for home at 0945 meaning at best we were going to get less than 7hrs sleep in order to breakfast on time.
We have enjoyed a couple of good breaks with Newmarket Holidays over time but this one was awful.

Colchester Couple
We enjoyed the short break but thought everyone was going to the same show until we got on the coach to find people were going to different shows or Kew Gardens. This wasn't a problem for us but did hear one lady complaining! We had time on Saturday to do some shopping, have a meal and on the Sunday to visit a museum.

The coach travel was relaxing.
Late arrival at the hotel meant little time to explor the surrounding area. Just time for lunch and no time to use facilities, - pool and gym .
Show was very poor and seats were the very highest back row.
My husband had read the review and did not attend the show, our party left in the interval. Didn't like the fact so many people were for different shows and hence had to have several pick ups very late at night.
The next day was very pleasant with time to explore London.
