Day Three: Optional Santa Monica and Malibu Tour

Relax and explore, or join an optional excursion to discover the gorgeous, yet very different coastal resorts of Santa Monica and Malibu. Stroll down the Santa Monica boardwalk, see the pier and Ferris wheel and enjoy the exceptional shopping on Third Street Promenade. Afterwards, follow the beautiful coastal drive along the bay to chic, picturesque Malibu.

Day Four: See the Grand Canyon at sunset

Journey east into the Nevada Desert, heading for the spectacular Grand Canyon, close to where we'll spend the night. Enjoy the colourful sunset as rock formations take on the varying hues, as daylight fades at one of nature's most stunning sights.

Day Five: Watch the sunrise over the Grand Canyon

Another unforgettable day awaits as you journey to the abyss that is the Grand Canyon. Perhaps venture out to experience the sunrise in this unique setting before enjoying an optional helicopter flight, on which you'll swoop like an eagle into the Canyon itself.

This afternoon, we'll continue through the awe-inspiring desert landscape to Las Vegas.

Days Six to Eight: Explore Las Vegas

Spend your days at leisure in Las Vegas, perhaps exploring the shopping malls, heading out to one of the many golf courses or taking an optional helicopter ride over the 'Strip' by night. Come sundown, try your luck at the sparkling casinos and see the spectacular displays of the Bellagio Hotel's iconic dancing fountains.

I think this holiday should be 3 days longer to give more time in Hollywood and Las Vagas.

The optional trip to Malabu was a total wash out as we could not stop as the driver could not park the coach and all we were able to eat was at McDonalds.

The tour manager took quite a few group pictures, which he said he would email to all of the group that gave him their email address. Still waiting to receive then!!!

there was great deal of content in the holiday but one failure was the optional excursion to Santa Monica, this took place on a Saturday and after a lovely morning in the Hollywood, Beverley Hills, Rodeo Drive area we were snarled up in traffic and only saw Santa Monica from the coach, after 2 hours driving around it was decided we would head back to the hotel but this took another 3-4 hours it was a wasted day

The last day was a bit of a nightmare, leaving Las Vegas at 6.45a.m. to drive back to LA with a visit to Hollywood which was very short - we had to be at the airport for 2p.m. but because of the traffic we didn't get there until 2.45p.m.

The holiday in general was ok. The disappointing thing in my opinion was the break stops which were not at all planned they were in fact garage's with no were to sit and queue's for the toilets. The flight arrangements were not ideal. Getting to the first hotel at 10.00 PM and to catch flight home leaving the hotel at 5.45 AM.

The tour manager was the worst I have ever had. Name Paul. It was chaos. Early mornings for any trips booked and got there way too early. San Diego was awful. Santa Monica was lovely. Hotel in Vegas was simply awful. The staff so rude and unhelpful. Our coach driver was 69 and hadn't done a tour for years. The driver and courier argued which route to take. The stops for drinks and something to eat were not long enough. We had 3 different coaches and only one was of any standard. Played irrelevant CD's when all you wanted to do was sleep. The mics never worked and difficult to understand what was said. No organization whatsoever.
Hollywood sold me the trip but only stayed there for 50 mins. Never even got a photo of the sign. The whole trip was an utter shambles. Oh and when you got to your hotels never seen the courier again till it was time to leave. If you needed him urgently he never let you no where he was or any contact details.
