The soundtrack of a generation
Join us as the inspiring true story of Carole King's remarkable rise to stardom is brought to life at the Aldwych Theatre. A pianist from the age of four, King fought her way into the record industry as a teenager, sold her first hit at 17 and was writing number ones for the biggest acts in rock 'n' roll by 20. But her greatest challenge was to find her own voice and finally step into the spotlight.
Travel from your local pick-up point to London and, in the late afternoon, transfer into central London. There will be time for a meal in High Street Kensington before the evening's performance of 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' at the Aldwych Theatre.
Take your seat and relax as this new production unfolds the untold story of King's journey from school girl to superstar, and includes classics like 'Take Good Care Of My Baby', 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow', 'Up On The Roof', 'Locomotion', 'You've Got A Friend' and '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman'.
After a relaxed morning we'll transfer you to London's West End, where you're free to shop your way along Oxford Street and Regent Street, or into Knightsbridge. Perhaps do some sightseeing and enjoy a leisurely lunch before we head for home in the afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid to late evening.
