Aphrodite's sun-blessed isle
LOW DEPOSITS UNTIL 31st MAY - JUST £79** PER PERSON
Based in Paphos on Cyprus' south west coast, this break in the winter sun offers a few days of relaxed exploration far removed from the British weather, and includes three wonderful excursions. Join us to discover Paphos' fascinating past on a guided walking tour, explore the snow-capped Troodos Mountains, and journey to the 'divided' city of Nicosia.
Once the ancient Greek and Roman capital of Cyprus, and now a UNESCO-World Heritage site, Paphos is a pretty port where modern amenities provide holiday creature comforts without diluting the wonder of the upper town's historic sites. Bars and restaurants line the picturesque harbour front, while palm-fringed boulevards and flower-decked courtyards radiate charm and conviviality.

Paphos Holiday Itinerary
Fly to Cyprus, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your Paphos hotel.
Day One: Fly to Cyprus
Today's included half-day guided walking tour of Paphos will reveal the extraordinary 'Tombs of the Kings' burial site, the famous Paphos Mosaics housed in ancient Roman villas, and the Byzantine Church of Ayia Paraskevi. There will also be an entertaining stop to see how Loukoumi - the Greek Cypriot version of 'Turkish' Delight - is made.
Day Two: Included Paphos guided tour
Our second included tour takes us to the spectacular Troodos Mountains, which rise above the plains and the coast and which have been home for centuries to remote villages and religious communities, including several wonderfully decorated Byzantine churches.
Day Three: Included Troodos Mountains tour
Stop Omodos a pretty village of white stone buildings that is known for its wine production, and see Throni Park, the burial place of Archbishop Makarios, Cyprus' first president, and visit ancient Kykkos Monastery, famed for its Byzantine Museum, mosaics and frescoes.
Join today's optional excursion beyond the political divide of the 'Green Line' into Northern Cyprus, occupied by Turkey since 1974. In this beautiful region of mountains dotted with ancient villages leading down to a tranquil coastline, you'll visit Gothic Bellapais Abbey (made famous by author Lawrence Durrell) and the coastal port-town of Kyrenia.
Day Four: Optional Northern Cyprus tour
Passengers travelling on tours departing after September 2018 will be offered a Nicosia optional excursion on Day Four, instead of the Northern Cyprus excursion.
Relax in Paphos today. In addition to your hotel's facilities, the town has sights to see, shops to discover, and even nearby golf courses to tempt the energetic.
Day Five: Day at leisure
Today's fascinating included excursion visits historic Nicosia, island capital for more than 12 centuries. Divided in 1974 by the 'Green Line' separating Greek and Turkish Cypriot territories, the city is both a bustling metropolis, with a sophisticated cafe culture, and a fascinating gateway to the island's turbulent past.
Day Six: Included Nicosia tour
You'll also visit the delightful village of Pano Lefkara.
Passengers travelling on tours departing after September 2018 will enjoy an included excursion to Petra tou Romiou, Curium and Limassol on Day Six.
Step into Cyprus' fascinating past on our final optional excursion. Visit the magnificent Greco-Roman amphitheatre at Kourion, pass the rock where Aphrodite is said to have risen from the waves, and see the extraordinary mosaics of the 'House of Eustolios'. Other highlights will include a typical Cypriot lunch, and visits to Limassol's old town and to the picturesque village of Lania.
Day Seven: Optional Kourion and Limassol day trip
Passengers travelling on tours departing after September 2018 will be offered a 'taste of authentic Cyprus' excursion on Day Seven.
Say farewell to Paphos, and transfer to the airport to board your flight home.
Day Eight: Fly back to the UK
