Lowestoft Suffolk Couple
- Being very regular cruisers, on Olympia we knew exactly what to expect, a smiling welcome aboard Olympia, efficient transfer to our welcoming, warm cabin and smiling faces everywhere.. Having been on board for several Christmas markets and New year cruises we opted for an over Christmas this time. Whilst we were at home immediately, new to cruise guests might have been disappointed to find Germany Closed. The weather dark and dismal didn't help. Our fellow table guests were first timers and I felt they were disappointed. Come in Spring or early Summer to appreciate how life on board Olympia is such fun, the ever changing scenery absolutely gorgeous and the tours offered or just a stroll round the towns we visit, absolutely enchanting. But Christmas is a quiet time and I don't really recommend it for a first time cruise.
Of course a lot of the cruise experience depends on the cruise Manager and this time unfortunately, we did not have the pleasure of being cossetted by the effervescent Lisa and felt we were a bit of a disappointment to Peter who kept himself very much aloof from his guests. George managed to get everyone to join in the entertainment and the delightful evenings passed with everyone feeling they were part of the show.
