Further Information

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time to Lake Garda is approximately three hours from Milan and Venice airports, and one hour from Verona Airport.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Meals in Italy

Guests on half-board arrangements will be served a three-course evening meal, and can expect a first course of traditional pasta or soup, a main meat or fish course accompanied by one or two types of vegetable, and a simple dessert of fruit, cake or Italian ice cream. Breakfasts will usually consist of bread rolls, jam, cereal, ham, cheese, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Menus will vary from hotel to hotel, but choice will be more limited than in a normal restaurant.

Entrance fees

Since some attractions visited offer free admission to visitors at certain times of year, we do not include entrance fees. These will be payable locally where applicable. This applies to excursions that are included in the price of your holiday and to excursions booked as optional extras.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Italian hotel room tax

Some regions of Italy have introduced a room tax of between 1 € and 3 € per person per night, payable directly by the guest to the hotel on check-out. You will be advised by your tour manager in resort if a particular hotel is implementing this charge.

Airport development fees

An Airport Development Fee has been introduced at a few UK Airports. You will be required to pay this charge at the following airports prior to checking in for your flight: Blackpool, Durham Tees Valley, Newquay and Norwich. The amount varies from airport to airport, but it is generally between £5 and £10 per person. Please visit the airport's website for further information.

Enjoyed the holiday but no air condition in room. Most people on the holiday had a/c. Arriving at hotel at 5.30 am was not good and reps. At airport on arrival had no new markets signs to make it easy for us.

We booked as a last minute break and were pleased with our overall experience.
A few customers were upset about the change of travel time and the use of Verona and Malpensa airports but we booked under these conditions and accepted all aspects of our trip.
As we were allocated on arrival the hotel and resort were unknown but we are so pleased that we were sited in Trebole and at the Piccolo Mondo. The resort has so many things to offer even if you don't do water sports there are walks along the promenade and the ferry was also an advantage.

Complete chaos on arrival. No clear guidance for finding relevant meeter and greeter. The holding up of a single a4 sheet is not particularly effective in a large airport concourse! No obvious system in place to deal with missing passengers...the remainder of the group left unattended on a narrow strip of pavement between two busy roads while your rep went hunting the missing...a dangerous situation! Information provided by rep was unclear and inaudible. He did not introduce himself or the driver which shows discourtesy and lack of training. On the coach no safety information...position of emergency exits etc...was provided. The transfer time...4 hours+... Was far too long. During this time we passed some obviously interesting places...Soave for example and Lake Garda itself...but your rep provided no commentary whatsoever which would have helped pass the time . The only time he provided any info at all was to explain the difference between various types of coffee available....vital information for anyone who did not appreciate the difference between a cappuchino and an americano! Hotel rep was far from effective...the initial meeting was a waste of time. Held on a long narrow terrace at the roadside much of the limited info was again inaudible. No info about the town itself was provided...nor about the visitor card which offered substantial discounts on ferry trips etc. The return to the airport was equally lacking in customer care...no rep on the coach and no assistance or guidance on arival at the airport led to a considerable degree of confusion. We were even allocated non existant seats on the plane and had to stand in the galley until all passengers had been boarded before seats could be found for us...although we had been among the first to check in. Basically your arrangements did you no credit whatsoever. But who am I to be critical? I am a professional tour guide, accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guiding and a member of WOTGA....the association of Welsh Tourist Guides. Had I displayed such deficiencies during my training and subsequent practical examinations then any hope of qualifying would have been out of the question

We stayed in Hotel Europa in Limone Lake Garda which was a few hours transfer from Venice, a good location with a great view of the lake The bedrooms were slightly dated. but for a three star hotel this holiday offers fantastic value for money, The weather was very hot and the hotel pool was a great bonus, Having travelled extensively in this area we did not go on the organised Tours. All for under £800 half board for two per week. Brilliant value holiday in a beautiful place
