Itinerary

Day One

Leaving your coach pick-up point, early this morning, we'll head to Liverpool. We'll arrive in the city mid afternoon, and begin our time there with an expertly guided coach tour of the city's main sights.

Afterwards you're free to explore. Browse the shops and attractions at Albert Dock, see the latest exhibitions at Tate Liverpool, and find out how the waterfront location shaped the city at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. And, in the city that was home to the Fab Four, don't forget your opportunity to visit Penny Lane, The Beatles Story and the legendary Cavern Club.

Day Two

After breakfast, we'll head to Liverpool's World Museum for the highlight of our break - the China's First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. For more than 2,000 years, an underground army of life-sized terracotta warriors secretly guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, until a chance discovery in 1974 unlocked the mysteries of a vanished empire. Showcasing incredible finds from one of the world's greatest archaeological discoveries, this unmissable exhibition spans almost 1,000 years of Chinese history; from the conflicts and chaos of the Warring States Period to the legacy and achievements of the Qin and Han Dynasties.

This exhibition was organised by National Museums Liverpool, United Kingdom and the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and Shaanxi History Museum (Shaanxi Cultural Heritage Promotion Centre), People's Republic of China.

You'll also enjoy a panoramic city tour with a Liverpool Guide and have time to enjoy further explorations of Liverpool. You might even like to enjoy a "Ferry 'cross the Mersey" or visit one of music's legendary music venues, the Cavern Club. There is a good choice of restaurants suiting all tastes and budgets for you to enjoy before returning to your hotel.
