Day One

Leaving the local area in the early morning we head to France, arriving at our hotel in the evening.

Day Two

Travel along the Seine Valley to Giverny, once home to France's most famous artist - Claude Monet. His house, with its attractive pink facade, has been restored to its original beauty. Wander the garden paths before we continue to Rouen, lovingly restored capital of Upper Normandy with its Gothic cathedral, famous mechanical clock and monument to Joan of Arc. Stroll the narrow streets past half-timbered houses, or climb to the belfry of the Gros Horloge to enjoy wonderful views of the city.

We'll return to the hotel in the early evening.

Day Three

Today begins with an included panoramic sightseeing tour of the Parisian sights, including the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Afterwards, join our optional excursion to the Montparnasse Tower, and ride one of the high-speed lifts to the 56th floor of this fascinating building to discover the incredible city views.

This evening, say goodbye to Paris on our final optional excursion to the cafe-lined streets of the Latin Quarter, which includes a romantic cruise along the Seine aboard one of the famous bateaux mouche.

Day Four

We begin our journey home after breakfast, today, arriving back in the local area by mid to late-evening.

Further Information

Channel crossings

Where possible, we will cross the Channel by ferry at the beginning and end of your holiday. However, we reserve the right to substitute crossings by Eurotunnel when necessary.

Coach seating arrangements

Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meet at port option

To give you greater flexibility and allow you to travel on the date that suits you best, you may like to meet the coach at Folkestone Services (called Stop 24) on the M20, which is just a five-minute drive from the Channel Tunnel and a 15-minute drive from Dover. If you wish to do this, please select the county 'Kent' and the pick-up point 'Stop 24 Folkestone Services Saltwood' when booking. You will be notified of the exact pick-up location in your Final Travel Details, which you will receive approximately 7-10 days prior to departure. Further information and car parking charges can be found at

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made. Please also note that there is no wheelchair access to the Water Garden at Giverny.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

Downham Market Couple
Monet's garden was well worth the visit. There was not much at Rouen to see. We paid independently for a hop on hop off tour of Paris which was expensive but worth while but something that could have been included in the price.

Essex Couple
Patronising, confrontational, insulting, rude & unhelpful tour manager who appeared to have no concept of the bad feeling that resulted from his sexually discriminatory 'jokes' . Completely failed to 'manage the tour' by hiding away at the front of the coach whenever a problem occured, became vague, refused to own any problems and insulted some passengers once they disembarked upon our return to the UK.
Driver who became lost on the way and insulted the paying passengers because he was frustrated & tired.
No contigency plans for delays that resulted in driver exceeding his legal driving hours, and making comments that we would have to 'pull over at the side of the road for 8 hours'. This is not good enough. A two driver team is required for this tour.
No working toilet in a coach full of passengers for a 15+ hour period on the return journey.
Unsuitable hotel for a weekend break. The restaurant is closed all weekend and the hotel had no facilities to provide even a cold plate on our late arrival following a 14+ hour journey due to delays with ferry crossing and driver's confusion with route.

braintree Couple
unfort the trip via the french border was the worst thing where we waited 3 hours and the hotel was ok, a bit to far to travel (4 hours) and the hotel had no food in the evenings. A good value trip and the extra excusion were great trips. It was lovely to spend a lot of time in paris looking at all the sites. I would rate everybody that newmarket do very good holidays for good values.

Southend on Sea Friends
A very good trip was ruined by not being able to go on the booked 2-15 ferry but having to wait for the 5-30 ship; This also happened on the return journey. So would unsure we would go on trip that uses ferries

Sheffield Friends
The outward journey of 7 hours down to Dover was very difficult to endure as there was not enough time to eat a proper meal, there was only 1 break for 20 minutes at approx. 11.30am, never were we advised to have supplies of food and drink with us. The first available eating time was on the ferry to France at approx. 4pm. The hotel was modern and clean but my room was very very small, no space to unpack my suitcase. Facilities in the room were basic, breakfast was also very basic, no choice of cereals, one day not enough hot water for cup of tea, hotel not worthy of 4 stars.

Rotherham Single traveller
I very much enjoyed my holiday. The coach driver was very helpful. The courier Anne was excellent in her organisation, her language skills and her knowledge.Unfortunately it was let down a bit by the pick up driver on the way home, he parked on the opposite side of the road which made it awkward for me as a disabled person to take my case a cross and left us in danger of traffic. His wife aS with him who took the first passenger seat, this made it awkward for me to get behind. Neither of them did a name check and if it hadn't been for one of the astute passengers we would have travelled without one passenger who failed to get off the coach, it was he own fault she should have known where she got on and where she should get off. The ladies had to tell the driver to ring Anne on the coach to make her aware that this person aS missing. Luckily we hadn't left Sheffield city centre. Had we been on the Parkway it would have made it very difficult to meet our connections as it was it was saved by the ladies quick thinking. They did have a word or two to say to the driver and his companion and particularly to the passenger who messed it all up. The schedules for travel do seem to be very tight and didn't allow for traffic jams and other unexpected things when travelling through cities and on Motorways during peak Times on Fridays and Monday's.
