Britain's "greatest medieval experience"
Warwick Castle always captures the imagination, but at Christmastime it is especially magnificent. Watch traditional decorations being made and hung in the Great Hall and State Rooms, and soak up the festive atmosphere at Worcester's Victorian Christmas Fayre.
Single rooms are available for a supplement
Leaving the local area in the morning we travel to Warwick Castle. Here the festive programme offers a fascinating glimpse of Christmases past. See how those who called the Castle home thoughout history enjoyed the festive period. Discover some of the intrigue and scandal surrounding Christmas in the Castle in 1898 in the Royal Weekend Party.
With 60 landscaped acres of grounds to explore, and an extensive range of unique, themed Christmas gifts available in the Armoury Gift Shop, there's plenty to see. After visiting the castle, you'll have the chance to explore Warwick and perhaps enjoy an early evening meal (payable locally) before we continue to our overnight hotel.
After breakfast we'll head to Worcester to browse the shops and wonderful Christmas market, which is perfumed by the aromas of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
Perhaps visit the cathedral before we begin our journey home in the early to mid afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid evening.
We reserve the right to reverse the itinerary, and visit Worcester on Day One and Warwick Castle on Day Two.
