Leaving the local area in the early morning, we journey to Torquay and our weekend hotel. After check-in, the afternoon is free for you to enjoy until dinner is served.
After breakfast, we'll journey to the "Lost Gardens" of Heligan. Explore the exotic fruit houses, the Italian Garden and grotto, the 30-acre 'Lost Valley' and the subtropical 'Jungle' garden of this constantly evolving project before we return to Torquay in time for dinner.
Today's highlight is our visit to the climate-controlled sanctuary of the Eden Project. After crossing Dartmoor National Park, we'll stop at Okehampton before continuing over Bodmin Moor to the Project.
Within its majestic 'Humid Tropics' and 'Warm Temperate' biomes you'll find recreations of ecosystems unlike anything you might encounter in the UK - from mighty rainforests to African savannah.
We take our leave of Torbay this morning and head to Street, home to Clarks Village - the UK's foremost outlet shopping centre. After the chance for lunch we'll continue home, arriving back in the local area by mid to late evening.
Eden in Spring
Eden in springtime is a riot of colour. Over half a million bulbs provide a spectacular start to the season. A range of beautiful displays has been planned, which combine early- and late-flowering daffodils and scented narcissi, crocus, muscari, hyacinth, cyclamen, fritillaria, amaryllis, anemone and iris.
Eden in Summer
Eden's huge collection of 140,000 plants means that there's something new and exciting every few steps. With its wild flowers and lavenders, and its myriad fruit and vegetable crops, Eden offers the most varied horticultural experience on the planet. And in the summertime it's at its best.
Eden in Autumn
Autumn is Canopy Season! Discover the fascinating and hidden world of the treetops from mid September to the end of October. Canopy Season is part of Eden's four-year programme exploring and discovering the forest canopies of the world, home to 40 per cent of the world's species.
Changes to your itinerary
Occasionally it may be necessary to switch Days Two and Three around, visiting the Eden Project on Day Two.
Coach seating arrangements
Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)
Joining your holiday
Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.
Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair or electric scooter, please let us know as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
