Full of Victorian Yuletide cheer

Give your Christmas shopping campaign a head start at Lincoln's famous and much-loved Christmas Market. With a visit to Denby Visitor Centre - which features a number of shops set around a courtyard setting - also included, this is the perfect break for picking up some pre-Christmas bargains.

Day One

Leaving the local area in the early morning we'll head to the Denby Visitor Centre. Here you'll find the Denby Factory Shop which has an extensive range of seconds and the Denby Home Store with best quality Denby, Cookery and Gardening Emporiums, a gift shop and a Dartington Crystal Factory Shop.

On the weekend of your visit there will also be a Food and Gift Fayre on site, selling local produce and crafts. After our visit we continue to our overnight hotel, stopping en route for the chance to have dinner.

Day Two

This morning we head to the beautiful hill-top city of Lincoln. Each year, the city and its German twin, Neustadt, get together in the streets surrounding the magnificent cathedral and castle for a spectacular Christmas market.

Wander the 300-plus seasonal stalls, enjoying the organists, carol singers and the heady aroma of mulled wine while browsing for festive decorations, souvenirs and unusual gifts. In the mid to late afternoon we'll begin our journey home, arriving back in the local area by mid evening.
