London's most majestic garden
Kew Gardens is a national institution - the oldest botanic garden in Britain, and a world-leading research and conservation centre. Since summer 2016 it has also been the home of the Hive - a multi-sensory installation that monitors the movements and sounds of bees in a nearby beehive, and translates them into a continuous tapestry of music and light. Don't miss your chance to experience the extraordinary and beautiful display, and to explore Kew's magical mix of landscaped lawns, formal gardens, glasshouses and over 30,000 plants, on this great-value coach break.
Single rooms are available for a supplement
Leaving the local area, early this morning we'll head to the outskirts of London and our four-star hotel. After check-in you'll have the rest of the afternoon and evening free. Make the most of the hotel's leisure facilities and public areas, or perhaps take advantage of our return coach transfer into London's West End.
After breakfast we'll head to Kew Gardens. Here you'll have time to explore Kew's 300 acres of gardens, lawns and woodland. The world-famous glasshouses are not to be missed, and neither should the magnificent views across the gardens from the tree-top walkway or the iconic Great Pagoda.
You'll also have time to see Kew's newest additions - the intricate, spiralling honeycomb of aluminium that is The Hive, and the sweeping double line of the Great Broad Walk Borders (Britain's longest double herbaceous borders), before we leave Kew early in the afternoon, arriving back at your original pick-up point in the mid to late evening.
