Your Itinerary

View a full breakdown of your holiday to help you plan your trip

  • Fly to Canada, meet your tour manager, transfer to your hotel in Niagara Falls and enjoy your first glimpse of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. The colourful, relaxed resort that has grown up next to the Falls offers a host of diversions, and you'll find many restaurants, bars and shops in addition to the magnetic, mesmerising draw of the roaring waters.

Note the itinerary shown follows departures from London Heathrow. Departure dates with direct flight from Manchester and Edinburgh will enjoy the same tour duration and content although in a slightly revised order - please see the note below under Further Information.

  • Enjoy a day in Niagara Falls, perhaps embarking the Hornblower Niagara cruise for a spray-soaked passage close to the foot of the torrent formed at the point where the Niagara River plunges over precipices in two spectacular cascades. And, why not enjoy an optional buffet lunch with a view in the Sheraton on the Falls Penthouse Fallsview Dining Room?

  • After a chance to enjoy an exciting optional Helicopter Ride over the Falls, today, you'll journey to the exquisite town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, one of Canada’s oldest settlements. From here, you'll continue to Toronto, on the shore of Lake Ontario, for a two-night stay. Join our included orientation tour to discover one of North America’s most cosmopolitan cities, which is divided into several distinct neighbourhoods that reflecting the city’s mix of ethnic origins. During the tour you’ll see Chinatown, Greektown, Little India and Little Italy, as well as Victorian Cabbagetown and stylish Yorkville. Later, enjoy a first evening in this wonderful lakefront city. Modern Toronto boasts stunning developments along its Waterfront, glitzy shopping malls and (of course) the slender needle of the CN Tower.

  • Enjoy a free day’s rest and relaxation in Toronto, making the most of your time in the city. Those with a head for heights might head for the CN Tower, where the very brave can experience the stomach-churning EdgeWalk. Stroll the Waterfront promenade or laze on the city’s beaches. Head for one of a host of fine museums and galleries, or visit historic Fort York, one of Canada’s most important battlefield sites. Take in the neo-Gothic opulence of Casa Loma, one of Toronto's most recognisable landmarks, or shop till you drop at the Eaton Centre.

  • This morning you’ll follow the Maple Leaf Trail, first along Lake Ontario’s northern shore past attractive Kingston, gateway to the Thousand Islands and the St Lawrence River, to Ottawa. You'll spend the night in Canada’s beautiful, romantic capital, with its Victorian houses, Grand Parliament buildings and famous Rideau Canal.

  • After some free time in elegant Ottawa, re-board the coach and journey to historic Québec City for a two-night stay in the heart of the city.

  • Today, you're free to explore Québec City, one of Canada's oldest settlements. You'll have the chance to join an optional guided city tour before exploring the narrow, cobbled alleyways of the lower Basse Ville and its upper Haute Ville counterpart, which together form endlessly enthralling, UNESCO-listed Vieux-Québec, a district dominated by the monumental Citadelle and the Château Frontenac hotel.

  • Check out and travel to Montreal, where you can choose between joining an optional sightseeing tour or spending the rest of the day at leisure.

The optional sightseeing tour will take in the pretty Vieux Port area and the lively Plateau Mont Royal. Montreal combines cutting-edge modernity, French style and flair, and is a cosmopolitan mix of high culture, high fashion and high tech. The waterfront rivals Vancouver’s for glass and steel architectural marvels, and contrasts with the bohemian groove of trendy Plateau Mont Royal and Vieux Montreal.

  • Enjoy some time at leisure in Montreal, perhaps doing some last-minute shopping, before transferring to the airport for your flight home.

  • Arrive back in the UK, after an overnight flight.
