Further Information

Meet at port option

To give you greater flexibility and allow you to travel on the date that suits you best, you may like to meet the coach at Folkestone Services (called Stop 24) on the M20, which is just a five-minute drive from the Channel Tunnel and a 15-minute drive from Dover. If you wish to do this, please select the county 'Kent' and the pick-up point 'Stop 24 Folkestone Services Saltwood' when booking. You will be notified of the exact pick-up location in your Final Travel Details, which you will receive approximately 7-10 days prior to departure. Further information and car parking charges can be found at

Coach seating arrangements

Your Tour Manager will have allocated seats for you on the main coach in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible, and will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Your journey

Depending on your departure point, you may leave your pick-up point very early in the morning and return very late at the end of the holiday, in order to meet your scheduled Channel crossing. There will also be a stop to transfer you from a feeder coach to your main coach, on both the outward and return journeys.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Channel crossings

Where possible, we will cross the Channel by ferry at the beginning and end of your holiday. However, we reserve the right to substitute crossings by Eurotunnel when necessary.

*Low deposit of £25 per person applies to new bookings made between 7th February and 31st March 2017 (inclusive) only. This offer only applies to selected coach-inclusive holidays. This offer is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.

Quite good - trips to markets interesting . Good company on coach and no complaints about anything.

The trip was very good although we would have liked a hotel that served evening meals. This is because we were two ladies on our own. We did visit a local restaurant and enjoyed a meal there. We both thoroughly enjoyed both visits to the Christmas markets.

Scunthorpe Friends
Enjoyed the visit to 2 christmas markets in Holland, although the christmas caves in Valkenburg were rather dark and claustrophic, and the queues to get in were horrendous. As we had already got our entry tickets, it was a surprise that we still had to queue.
Hotel was a rather basic 3*, but linen clean and breakfast good. Disappointing that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and 4 coathangers for 2 people was a bit stingy we thought.
Whilst this was a good trip it was very tiring, and there was certainly not enough time to see what we went for. Travelling from our home to the hotel in Liege took well over 12 hours. We then had the following day to visit 2 markets in 2 different towns in Holland, which was definitely not enough, and there was certainly no time at all to look around some of the lovely shops in Maastrict and Valkenburg. We then had a 12 hour journey to get back home.
Overall, there was far too much travelling involved for the small amount of time at the markets. This trip should either be for a longer time, or by air which would be so much quicker, although also more expensive - but you pay your money and make your choice.
