Itinerary

Day One

Leaving the local area, early this morning we'll travel to Greenwich. We'll arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the early afternoon, and you'll be free to explore. Stand astride the Mean Time Meridian, visit the world-famous Royal Observatory, newly renovated and reopened Queen's House, or the National Maritime Museum - London's only planetarium - and the last surviving tea clipper, the Cutty Sark.

After time to explore, we'll continue to our hotel.

Day Two

The glittering spike of the Shard towers 306 metres above London's streets, and has become the city's most iconic modern landmark. Today we'll take the high-speed lift to the 69th Level's indoor viewing gallery. Here, Guest Ambassadors will be able to point out major landmarks in the jaw-dropping panorama of the capital and the countryside beyond.

You'll also be able to continue up the spire to Level 72's outdoor viewing gallery just beneath the summit of the tower.

Descending from the heady heights, we'll reboard our coach and head home, arriving back at your pick-up in the mid to late evening.

Due to being part of a added on Theatre trip to long spent waiting around when we could have been taken to the Hotel.
This meant we arrived late for our evening meal with very little information where we could eat apart from the Hotel which was expensive.
Also added stop at Covent Garden knowing we would be caught up in Traffic resulting in arriving back at least an Hour late. No excuse for this drivers and courier running this late.

4 and a half hours in Greenwich too long. All was well until we had to wait for the people who went to the theatre, it would have been better to have less time in Greenwich and then taken to hotel, and the others picked up later. Far too late to get to the hotel - gone 8pm. For a four star hotel, only one beer, in fact that was lager, and because no other eateries were local the hotel main meal was very expensive. The only good thing about the hotel was the excellent choice for breakfast.

Thank you for your feedback. we did anticipate that customers would want at least four hours in Greenwich. We are reviewing combining this tour with Theatres as it does not run as smoothly as we had hoped.

As serious responsible international photographers (with International accreditations), the concern was that we could not arrange to go on the top platform of the Shard to unable us to have a clear view without the obstructions and reflections from the glass.
This is despite contacting the Shard helpdesk as instructed by a notice within the actual door to the said platform. This was to our disappointment.

We had a very nice break, the tour guide was very informative on the places we passed while going through London, and in guiding us safely to the Shard across busy roads. We were very appreciative of the drivers skill in driving through the very congested streets of London. Also, the hotel accommodation was to a high standard, very comfortable. And to add to it all the weather was beautiful. Thank you.
