Make your way to the port of Tilbury to board Magellan. We'll set sail this afternoon, and you'll have time to relax and enjoy dinner and entertainment on board.
Wonderful Amsterdam, with its picturesque canals and step-gabled buildings, is our first port of call. Get to know this delightful, friendly city, and perhaps visit the renowned Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.
Get to know Magellan, her crew and your fellow cruise travellers as you spend a day relaxing at sea.
Today you'll call at Olden. This is the starting point for an excursion, through sublimely scenic countryside, to the famous Briksdal Glacier. This immense cliff of ice is actually just one of the 50 arms of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, which broods over the entire eastern reach of the Nordfjord.
Another relaxed day at sea aas Magellan sails even further north.
Reaching the wild and beautiful Lofoten Islands, you'll enter some of Europe's most spectacular waters. Here, tiny fishing villages shelter beneath the towering peaks, cliffs and rock formations that rise out of the water. Calling at Leknes, there'll be an opportunity to explore this beautiful corner of the world on an overland excursion.
Magellan's next port of call is remote Alta. Sky-gaze at your leisure (the Northern Lights are at their most astounding here), and explore the Arctic region of Finnmark - home to the indigenous Sami people, the prehistoric rock carvings at Hjemmeluft and the famous Ice Hotel - on one of our exciting optional excursions.
Cruise way beyond the Arctic Circle, close to the coast of Finnmark where the nomadic Sami herd reindeer. As Magellan docks in remote Honningsvaag, you can make your way on an optional excursion to the famous visitor centre at Nordkapp (North Cape), almost at Europe's northernmost point.
Today Magellan calls in Tromso, with its magnificent Artic Cathedral rising grandly from its bustling centre. Step ashore to explore its daily market and fascinating Polarmuseum, which chronicles the lives and exploits of the likes of Amundsen and Nansen.
Today is spent at sea, relaxing as Magellan turns south.
Beautiful Trondheim, picturesquely set between a loop in the River Nid and beautiful Trondheimsfjord, welcomes us this morning. Dominated by the imposing Nidaros Cathedral, Trondheim is a fine place in which to wander, soaking up the atmosphere of a city that was once the capital of Viking Norway. Explore the cathedral and the nearby restored Archbishop's Palace, and don't miss the Stiftsgarden, northern Europe's largest wooden building, now a royal residence.
Magellan cruises into beautiful Romsdalsfjord and Andalsnes, today. From here, there's the opportunity to enjoy an excursion through some of Norway's most spectacular mountain scenery, and perhaps a chance to visit the famous wooden Rodven stave church in its dreamy setting beside the fjord.
Today we'll call in Bergen - an ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses, and birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Enjoy a final day at sea, reliving the memories of a wonderful holiday.
