Itinerary

Day One

Leaving the local area this morning, travel to the London area and arrive at your hotel by early evening.

Day Two

After breakfast, today, we'll transfer you to Greenwich where you'll be free to spend the day enjoying the 150th Tall Ships Regatta. The area's fun-filled celebration of its great maritime tradition will have two main festival sites, linked by a clipper service. Enjoy music, street theatre, art, activities and special maritime-related demonstrations. Browse local produce, crafts and Tall Ships souvenirs, or simply relax and take it all in.

You'll also have the chance to join an optional river cruise past both Tall Ship mooring sites (in Greenwich and Woolwich) as you listen to the on-board commentary. The excursion also includes a single 'flight' on the Emirate's Cable Car for an aerial view of the Regatta.

Later this afternoon, watch the breathtaking 'Parade of Sail' as the full fleet of Tall Ships heads out in full sail, then perhaps have an early dinner (payable locally) before we return to the hotel.

Day Three

This morning we'll head for central London and our included sightseeing tour of its world-famous attractions - Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. You'll then have time to explore the city before we begin our journey home in the mid afternoon.

We'll arrive back at your original pick-up point in the mid-to-late evening.

Good hotel. Tour manager told us a lot about her family but little about London - not good for first time visitors. The drop off arrangements for Greenwich were not suitable, far too far to walk and it would have been better to use public transport from the hotel which was easy. We were concerned about the "site-seeing tour of London" which dropped elderly and some first time visitors to London at Marble Arch on a hot day for 4 hours. Fortunately we had our Oyster cards and were familiar with London - but not good for those who were not. The journey home was not good with delayed pick ups so we got back to Beverley at midnight.

Hotel much too far from event, I wish the tour manager told us about the need for an Oyster card for independant travel between sites.
Overall an enjoyable trip, thankyou.

VALERIE

Lichfield Couple
It was a excellent break visiting the tall ships in London. We also did a tour of London and the tour manager arranged for us to see the poppies at the tower which was not on the itinerary. We also instead of going to greenwich park for drop off we were taken to 02 which was much better. Good thinking of your tour manager.

A brilliant holiday -thejourney down very smooth and we didn't feel tired with the travelling. The hotel was excellent. Vicky our driver and Eddie the tour manager were both excellent and informative. The coach drop for the first day meant too much walking to the riverside and back up the hill but don't think it could have been nearer. However on the last day it was right next to Woolwich Arsenal thanks to Vicky and Eddie doing their homework. this made the Parade even more special and we had brilliant views. very pleasant trip and look forward to the next one.
