  • Return airport-to-hotel transfers
  • One piece of hold luggage per couple

Day One

Fly to Edinburgh and discover its famous sights - including Princes Street and Jenners (the world's oldest department store), the imposing cliff-top Castle, St Giles Cathedral, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile.

Depending on your arrival time, you will either transfer to the hotel to check in after your tour, and take advantage of a transfer back into the city centre to enjoy the rest of the day in Edinburgh, or enjoy the city and your tour after check-in.

Day Two

Spend today relaxing in the hotel or exploring the city further. Visit one of the impressive museums or the Castle, or perhaps browse the stores along famous Princes Street.

Edinburgh's colourful Christmas Markets offer plenty of entertainment and gifts galore. From Scottish handicrafts and foodstuffs in the Traditional Highland Village in Princes Street Gardens - transformed into a winter wonderland complete with an ice rink and a funfair - to tasty delights and unique gifts at the authentic German Market, there's something for everyone.

Day Three

Spend another day in the city, or board the coach for the included transfer to Ocean Terminal at nearby Leith. Search out special presents in the designer stores, and step aboard the former Royal Yacht Britannia, which lies at rest in the harbour (entry payable locally).

This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

Further Information

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 20 minutes.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Itinerary changes

Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.

Luggage Allowance

Please note that for two people travelling together on one booking, or a single traveler, one piece of hold luggage is included. Additional hold luggage may be purchased at the time of booking at a cost of £30 per bag.

Great value holiday. Hotel in excellent location on main bus route into city centre, and next door to the zoo! Food very good value for money. Pleasant reception staff. Excellent tour guide (Nick). Am hoping to book the same holiday in 2016.

Really enjoyed it. Nick our tour guide and Alan our driver were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel was a little tired which was a shame. Great couple of days and we would do it again.

Edinburgh was looking beautiful with all the Christmas Lights and there were plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and shopping. The highlight for us was visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia at Leith.
Our courier kindly arranged dinner in our hotel one night for our group but, unfortunately, the hotel really let him down as the food was dire and the service like something out of Fawlty Towers.
Overall we enjoyed our trip and would visit Edinburgh again.
