Itinerary

Day One

Leaving your pick-up point in the morning we'll head to beautiful Oxford, the "city of dreaming spires". Explore the colleges, such as imposing Christ Church, head to the shops of the charming Covered Market, or simply relax and enjoy afternoon tea at England's first coffee house, the Grand Cafe.

Alternatively, join our optional excursion to stunning Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Learn how the palace survived the onslaught of 400 evacuated boys on the guided 'Palace at War' tour, marvel at the English Baroque architecture, and wander the award-winning formal gardens and 2,000 acres of 'Capability' Brown's parkland. We'll arrive back at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day Two

Find out how the intelligence produced at 'Station X' shortened the Second World War by two years on today's fascinating Bletchley Park self-guided tour, using excellent, multi-media guides. See the famous German 'Enigma' code cipher machines up close; and visit Bletchley's wartime sub-post office, believed to be an undercover mailroom with the secret address of PO Box 111 Bletchley.

In the afternoon we'll head home, arriving back in the local area by early to mid evening.

Please note that there is a significant amount of walking involved in the self-guided tour at Bletchley Park. You will cover approximately one mile, with stops throughout.

Museum entrance fees

There is a small on-site charge to enter the National Museum of Computing and the Colossus and Tunny galleries.

Coach seating arrangements

Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

I enjoyed this break. The visits to Bleinham and Bletchley Park were very good. The feeder pickup at Bletchley when returning was great. There wer a few things, however, that were' right.

1. The pick-up at St Alban's station was awful. We shouldn't have been asked to walk on a grassy mound to get to the coach. This wasn't a suitable pick-up point.

2. The meal at the Wyboston Hotel was woeful. No starter, a small piece of fatty pork belly, mash and a very small amount of vegetables and a fruit salad was not a suitable evening meal. Whilst the rep tried to help the hotel were not amenable.

If they don't like coach parties they should not have them.

Very disappointed with evening meal served by the hotel. No menu choice, what was served very poor quality and restaurant staff very disorganised and unhelpful. Tour manager tried her best to sort the problem but to no avail.

Unfortunately I had previously been on one of your Christmas Market tours and on that occasion there was a problem with the hotel being unable to serve an evening meal even though it was advertised in your brochure as they said they were overbooked.

Would think twice before booking another tour.

Great place to visit, very interesting and amazing artefacts and exhibition.
Coach itinerary questionable. Timings problems showed lack of proactivity by courier. She should/could have handled them better.

Overall an enjoyable holiday. Shame that traffic made us late for Blenheim. Driver and Tour Guide need more communication re timing as there was a discrepancy between the time of departure form Blenheim.
And hotel meal times were too crowded with two coaches so that I decided not to queue for the cooked breakfast.
Could have spent longer at both Blenheim and Bletchley
