Day Two (Christmas Eve)
On today's included excursion you'll journey to Seville, the home of flamenco and magical setting for Bizet's 'Carmen'. Enjoy a short introductory tour, then wander the narrow streets of the atmospheric Old Quarter, relax in the beautiful Plaza de Espana with its fountains, and visit the famous Plaza de Toros bullring.
The city's shops will be open for last-minute festive shopping should you need to find a final gift before you return to the hotel to begin your celebrations.
Day Three (Christmas Day)
Spend Christmas Day celebrating at your hotel, perhaps making use of the indoor swimming pool and spa (payable locally) before you sit down for a three-course Christmas lunch with wine.
Day Four (Boxing Day)
Today's included visit takes us to Granada. Your first stop will be the spectacular Alhambra palace, where you'll have time to marvel at the beautiful tiled mosaics, intricate towers and minarets, and world-renowned formal gardens. You'll then have the afternoon to explore the rest of the city, which sits beneath the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains.
Relax on your final day at the hotel, or join our optional excursion to Cordoba, the former Roman and Moorish capital of Spain. Here you'll discover the breathtaking Mezquita, the vast Mosque into which the Christian cathedral has been incorporated, and which reflects Cordoba's position as the greatest Moorish city in Europe.
Later, enjoy a last dinner at the hotel.
Say goodbye to your hotel and your hosts, and transfer back to the airport to board your flight home.
Hotel transfer times
The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately one hour.
Combining hotel transfers
We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.
European Christmas closing times
Shops in Europe will generally be closed from early afternoon on Christmas Eve until 27th December.
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
