Leaving the local area in the morning, we'll head towards Liverpool and our hotel. After check-in you'll have the rest of the evening free to relax and unwind before dinner is served.
Today we take a trip into Liverpool and back in time to the rock 'n' roll days of the early 1960s. Our dedicated 'Beatles' guide will bring to life the world of Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane on a themed included coach tour.
See where John and Paul first met, where the quartet grew up, the poignant 'Eleanor Rigby' sculpture and other places connected with four of the 20th Century's most iconic figures, including a visit to the Cavern Club itself - one of Britain's most legendary music venues.
Afterwards, explore Liverpool under your own steam, or find out more about John, Paul, George and Ringo at The Beatles Story - a "magical history tour" that includes fascinating recreations of Abbey Road, the Casbah Coffee Club and even a Yellow Submarine - on this afternoon's optional excursion.
After a leisurely breakfast we'll return to Liverpool, and board the "Ferry 'Cross the Mersey" for a whole new perspective on the city. The on-board commentary will bring the city's landmarks to life on this fascinating 50-minute cruise.
Afterwards there'll be the chance to enjoy a three-course lunch at Blake's Restaurant in the Hard Days Night Hotel, and you'll then have some free time to explore before we begin our journey home, arriving back in the local area by mid to late evening.
