The Tatton Park Flower Show takes place on open parkland. Some temporary trackway is laid, but we suggest that you wear suitable clothing and footwear, especially in the event of inclement weather.

Coach seating arrangements

Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Overall very good value for money. Tatton Gardens and Chester well worth a visit. There were problems with heavy traffic due to a number of events happening in the area, but the coach driver took a different route and avoided massive delays. During the diversion it would have been reassuring to passengers if the tour manager had kept us informed of our wherabouts and plans for breaks etc...could have been more interactive with passengers.

I am afraid the hotel was not up to standard when we arrived our room was switched to another floor because the tour leader was trying to appease a group of people travelling together who all wanted to be on the same floor. My sister is disabled and it was not convenient having to wait for a lift only 1 person and their walker could get into. When we got into our room we found it was dirty the sheets had dirty marks on them we complained to the reception and our room was eventually switched to a lower floor again the standard was poor.
quite frankly due to traffic on the motor way it took far too long to get to chester and we barely had an hour there. The next day at tatton park our tour leader announced that we would leave earlier and wanted everyone back on the coach for 3 pm which meant we would have had to leave at 2.20 to walk back to the coach. A group of us objected because we wanted our full time at Tatton Park and the tour leader said we had to compromise and we all had to be back on the coach prompt for 4 pm which meant we had to leave the show at 3.30 pm to get to the coach - this was not fully explained to us and we believe the coach driver was pushing to leave earlier and was supported by the tour guide. Clearly given the time and expense of getting there I do not feel it was up to the tour guide and coach driver to engineer the leaving times.

Hotel was an hour away from both Chester and Tatton Park. I understand this is common practice with Newmarket Holidays to keep the cost down. There must gave been a hotel closer to the two destinations. Hotel was very close to dual carriageway meaning you couldn't sleep with the windows open and food was only ok. The feeder minibus went on a magical mystery tour to meet up with the main coach. A couple of stops on the way up and NO stops on the way back. We weren't warned about the and consequently there were frequent visits to the coach toilet. The coach left Tatton Park at 4pm and I was very hungry by the time I got home at 9.30pm.

Kevin is not a people person but a good driver except when impatient. He was very good at getting us home via a different route when he heard the M6 had a two and a half hour delay. We enjoyed our time in Chester, just long enough. The hotel staff were very good and friendly. Our trip to Tatton Park was very good, plenty of time to enjoy it.

Can understand why the mixed reviews on the hotel, but they did try very hard to help people so full marks there. I was too hot for a duvet and the receptionist brought me a 'sheet' that turned out to be a linen banqueting tablecloth! Folded in half, it was just right, very comfortable and extremely good quality! The meals were set out in a confusing way so you had to go backwards and forwards for sauces etc. but tasted just fine. The visit to Tatton was great but not sure about Chester due to time constraints. Possibly Sleaford pick up might be rethought- many local coaches pick up on the Grantham Road, opposite the Spar shop which avoids going through town where signage is not brilliant - although that means a walk from parking with luggage, but otherwise, Station is just fine for us.
