Further Information

Hotel location

Your hotel will either be situated along the Sorrento Peninsula or in the resort of Sant Agata.

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately one hour from Naples and four hours from Rome.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Meals in Italy

Guests on half-board arrangements will be served a three-course evening meal, and can expect a first course of traditional pasta or soup, a main meat or fish course accompanied by one or two types of vegetable, and a simple dessert of fruit, cake or Italian ice cream. Breakfasts will usually consist of bread rolls, jam, cereal, ham, cheese, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Menus will vary from hotel to hotel, but choice will be more limited than in a normal restaurant.

Entrance fees

Since some attractions visited offer free admission to visitors at certain times of year, we do not include entrance fees. These will be payable locally where applicable. This applies to excursions that are included in the price of your holiday and to excursions booked as optional extras.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Italian hotel room tax

Some regions of Italy have introduced a room tax of between 1 € and 3 € per person per night, payable directly by the guest to the hotel on check-out. You will be advised by your tour manager in resort if a particular hotel is implementing this charge.

Airport development fees

An Airport Development Fee has been introduced at a few UK Airports. You will be required to pay this charge at the following airports prior to checking in for your flight: Blackpool, Durham Tees Valley, Newquay and Norwich. The amount varies from airport to airport, but it is generally between £5 and £10 per person. Please visit the airport's website for further information.

Really enjoyed the trip. Excellent support and quality throughout. It's great being able to fly from my local airport without having to go through London. This was my second trip but I will gladly go again.
Thank you.

St. Agatha. Sorrento area Couple
Travelling from Aberdeen was a great start to our holiday to Sorrento and travel arrangements were as described on the website. Although our hotel was lovely and clean and staff were very friendly, we were a little bit off the beaten track for Sorrento. However there is a frequent bus service which runs until late evening.

Good value holiday for the price paid. We were on the allocated on arrival deal. However the hotel(Hotel O Sole Mio) in Sant Agata was at the top of a hill which was not a problem for our party but would certainly not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The room was fine, comfy bed with a balcony that overlooked the bay. The room was kept very clean and towels and sheets changed frequently. The bathroom only had a bath with shower head but could not be used as a shower as there was no shower curtain or ability to hang the shower head up on the wall and use as a shower - very odd and would be useless for anyone who was not agile as the bath was very narrow and difficult to get in/out. There was no safe for valuables. Food was average. I noticed that different groups were offered different food. Surely the hotel could offer option to pay a supplement if required to have the same choice as others. However there was always 3 starters, 3 mains and a sweet so it was adequate. The staff were very friendly and informative and dealt with any issues at once. The pool was small but well maintained and the gardens were lovely to sit and relax. The small cafe was staffed by the family and they were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable.
My main issue with this holiday was the distance the hotel was from central Sorrento. This hotel is not in Sorrento and although there was a bus service it was very unreliable. On our second night we were left stranded (2 buses just drove past)so we had to get a taxi at a cost of 55 euros- not something we budgeted for so we felt we could not go into the centre in an evening which spoiled out trip. Sant Agata is a lovely village but was far too quiet for us- we wanted the choice of browsing around some shops or a choice of bars for a cocktail etc in the evenings. However, it would be the luck of the draw where you ended up. I have never tried allocated on arrival but would not do this again as the location spoiled our visit. I had been told on booking that we would be in Sorrento- please tell people that this could mean you are up to 8km out of the centre as I would not have booked this if I knew this was possible.

Overall not bad,the points I gave for the tour manager was for the tour guide 'Nello'who was excellent. The tour manager I would rate 5 as we didn't see much of her after initial meeting.
The hotel looks very good as you approach, but the areas away from this were very tatty, especially the corridors outside the rooms. The carpets were rucked and dirty. Our room 219 had a faulty air-con which was eventually fixed after 4 days,it was also noisy, and kept us awake.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was reasonable, but I wouldn't rate it 4 star. A common gripe we and many other guests had was no coffee or tea came with the evening meal, you had to pay extra if you wanted it!
The hotel was the 'Parco del Sole' in Sant Agnello .
