Itinerary

Day One

Leaving the local area in the morning we'll head to the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show for the highlight of the weekend. Arriving for a show entrance time of 3pm, spend the afternoon exploring the 50 or so show gardens, including water gardens - a category unique to Hampton Court. Seek the advice of celebrity experts, watch demonstrations and pick up a wealth of traditional, practical and innovative ideas from top garden designers.

After your explorations, relax by the bandstand and enjoy the music, sit by the long water or treat yourself to a glass of champagne. However you choose to spend your time you're sure to have a really memorable visit, and head to our hotel full of ideas and enthusiasm for your own garden.

Day Two

Enjoy breakfast before we check out and travel to the tranquil RHS Gardens at Wisley, set in 240 acres and developed over 100 years. Admire the dazzling rhododendrons, irises and peonies that signal spring has arrived; wander through the alpine meadow and rock garden; and don't miss the cathedral-like Glasshouse, showcasing plants from around the world.

Take the chance to refuel at the Conservatory Dining Room or Orchard Cafe before we re-board the coach in the mid afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid-to-late evening.

Further Information

Appropriate clothing

Please note that The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show takes place on open parkland. Some temporary trackway is laid, but we advise suitable clothing and footwear, especially in the event of inclement weather.

Coach seating arrangements

Your seats on the main coach will be allocated for you in advance, taking into consideration any special requests wherever possible. Your Tour Manager or driver will advise you where to sit as you board the coach. This will be your seat for the duration of the tour. (Seats are not allocated on any connecting services to and from the main coach.)

Joining your holiday

Your final travel documents, including the exact time and place of departure, will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to departure, providing all payments have been made. We are unable to give exact departure times before this.

Meal arrangements

Where meals are not included, your Tour Manager will ensure there are suitable stops made for you to purchase and enjoy lunch and/or dinner each day.

Triple rooms

The majority of these consist of a double bed and an extra bed that is often only suitable for children. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Hampton court is a lovely place to visit and the flower show was very enjoyable, however, as one would expect, it was very busy. We would return.

A complete and utter disaster. The coach driver was completely and utterly unable to find all the pick up points from Bristol onwards consequently we were very late arriving at the Flower Show. I have independently sent strong letters of complaint to both Newmarket and the coach operator Berry's of Taunton

I thoroughly enjoyed the Hampton Court Show, even though I didn't manage to see everything. Time went so quickly.
I enjoyed Windsor Castle, except for getting lost going back to the coach. I asked someone where the station was and I was directed to the wrong station, and ended up late back at the coach. It would have been advisable to have known the name of the station where the coach was parked.

There are two things over which we have no control. One is the Weather, and the other is the amount of traffic you encounter. On the day of the visit, we boarded the Coach at 9am at Bury St.Edmunds, and already the temperature was well into the mid 20's. The airconditioning on the Coach really could not cope and a lot of the passengers, including my wife and I were very uncomfortable. The closer we got to Hampton Court the worse became the traffic and probably for the last 40 miles or so we just crawled bumper to bumper. We finally arrived at the Coach Park at about 3.20pm!! And by this time the temperature was in the mid 30's!!We got into the Show around 4pm by which time we were shattered as were a lot of the other passengers. We saw app 10% only.Never again.

It was our first holiday with Newmarket holidays and we could not fault anything. Laura our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Dave the coach driver was very helpful and polite.
The overall trip to Hampton Court and Windsor castle was excellent.
We will be travelling with Newmarket holidays again.
