Day One

Leaving the local area in the early morning we'll travel to London and our overnight hotel. After check-in we'll head to the Royal Albert Hall for our holiday highlight - Raymond Gubbay's Classical Spectacular.

The concert features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, a choir and trumpeters, performing such classics as 'Rule Britannia', 'Zadok the Priest' and the Grand March from 'Aida'. The evening culminates the 1812 Overture - complete with cannons, muskets and an indoor fireworks finale.

At the end of the concert, the coach will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Day Two

After breakfast, we'll head to London for some leisurely shopping along Oxford Street and in Knightsbridge, or the chance to visit the city's many sights, museums and exhibitions. Alternatively, you may prefer to remain on the coach and enjoy a short panoramic sightseeing tour, taking in world-famous attractions such as The Tower of London and Buckingham Palace.

We'll leave the city in the afternoon and return to the local area, arriving by mid to late evening.

The event itself was spectacular and I would recommend it to anyone.Hotel very clean warm and meals good.Buffet meal was only £12 and had as much as you like. The only thing that perhaps let it down was that we didn't know when or where we were going to have our meals so,if possible,a mention of this on the final details we get would be good.Other than that it was a lovely break and thank you.

Everything was perfect. We have been to Classical Spectacular previously and that was very good but this was even better! Special mention to tour manager Tracey who worked so hard and so pleasantly to make it a wonderful experience for us.

We had a brilliant time-so impressed with the hotel (the hot buffet after arrival and before the show was wonderful value at £12.50 and very enjoyable)
Our driver Ray had an exceptional knowledge of London and nothing was too much trouble for him-he made sure he was up to date with traffic problems on the journey home and action to pick a more appropriate route back to avoid further delays.Sue our courier was lovely-very customer focussed and friendly and very helpful. The show at the Albert Hall was "out of this world"-absolutely fantastic-it certainly makes you want to pay another visit.Thank you Newmarket for a wonderful short break.

Hall Couple
Jane and Gary the driver were wonderful, and so interesting with the titbits they offered in their knowledge of London. We so admired Gary's 3point turn outside the Albert Hall!!!
We would have preferred more information from Head Office as to our itinerary.
Even 10 days before you must have known the timings of the trip.
To be told on the coach that we would arrive at our hotel at 3pm and leave for the concert at 5.30. Show at 7.30 and home after 11. We would have brought some quiche slices or something, as there was not enough time for a meal either at the hotel or in the Albert Hall, especially as there had been a matinee that day and stocks were low all round.
You should not use that hotel with such a large number of guests staying there. Even with the two rooms available for breakfast, it was utter bedlam and they couldn't cope.
Overall however we enjoyed our trip and the only remedies to be addressed lie at Head Office's door, ie. 1. passengers to receive a full itinerary with timings before the trip and 2. not to use a hotel that can't in any way cope.

Bristol Family
Emyr and Gary were very helpful and kept us up to date what was happening whilst we were on the coach making sure we were all ok and together. I got on at Bristol so it was a good time for the pick up and drop off. They did a brilliant tour of London on the coach and gave us plenty of time in Oxford Street on the second day. The show was absolutely fantastic and the drop off and pick up was convenient for less mobile persons. The hotel was ok but the sunday lunch meal was only adequate and the full menu was not on offer then on return from the show they had shut one bar, there was no hot drinks and to start not even an option for food even though lots of coach parties were expected back late. I thought the menu shown everywhere was more or less on offer all day so after the tour manager had a word, they re-opened another bar and said any food available now would be room service only other than that it was a lovely trip to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday. Good price too!
