Discover Andalucia on this superb Spanish holiday, taking in Seville, Granada, the Alhambra, Ronda, Cordoba and much more.

This excellent-value holiday to Spain goes far beyond any fly and flop jaunt, treating discerning travellers to an all-encompassing trip to reveal a region bursting with culture.

Many people want the opportunity to combine organised tours with exploring places at their own pace, and that's exactly what you get on this holiday. Much like authentic tapas, this tour gives you a taste of some of the best that Spain has to offer.

Visiting the beautiful southern province of Andalucia, birthplace of Picasso, home of flamenco and cradle of the gypsy life, you'll visit some of Europe's most evocative cities, set against a backdrop of high plains and a sun-blessed coast.

See what else awaits you on a holiday that gives you a real, and welcoming, introduction to classic Spain.

Resort Information

Friendly and typically Andalusian, Antequera lies on a plain between mountains and olive-covered hills. Seville, Granada & Classic Spain Tour Itinerary

Every day a new experience

Day One: Arrive in Malaga and head to your hotel

Fly to Malaga and make the one-hour transfer by comfortable, air-conditioned coach to your hotel in Antequera. Located on a plain between mountains and olive-covered hills, Antequera is ancient in origin. It's well-known for nearby prehistoric burial chambers, like Cueva de la Menga, its Roman baths and 13th-century castle. This authentic provincial town also features a selection of shops, restaurants and bars.

Day Two: Explore Seville and see the famous Alcazar

Today's included excursion is to Seville, where you can explore the city's orange tree-fringed squares. You'll also see the huge cathedral, the Giralda Tower and the Moorish royal palace of Alcazar. Be sure to stop for a spot of tapas and a glass of fino dry sherry (payable locally) in one of Seville's many excellent tapas bars, too.

Day Three: Take the option of a day's excursion to Cordoba

Do your own thing today, or join our full-day optional excursion to the city of Cordoba. This elegant, former Roman and Moorish capital of Spain has La Mezquita at its heart, an immense Mosque into which a Christian cathedral has been incorporated. After a guided tour of this magnificent building, you're free to explore the narrow lanes and corridors of the nearby ancient Juderia.

Day Four: Visit and explore the many facets of Ronda

On today's included excursion, you'll travel through a countryside dotted with villages of whitewashed houses, to Ronda. Set above the dramatic El Tajo gorge, which cuts a swathe through the sierra, this once Moorish citadel is a maze of narrow streets and fine Renaissance houses. Don't miss the Plaza de Toros, Ronda's legendary 18th-century bullring, and perhaps cross the Puente Nuevo bridge, which spans the gorge and links the new and old towns. You'll also see the city's fascinating Roman-style baths.

Day Five: Discover the city of Granada and visit the magnificent Alhambra Palace

Today, we'll journey to the great city of Granada. Set in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, this former Moorish capital incorporates many important examples of medieval architecture. During your time in the city, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the Alhambra Palace. This outstanding UNESCO World Heritage Site is both a palace and a fortress, set among the fountains and orchards of the beautiful Generalife gardens.

Day Six: Fly home to the UK

Transfer back to the airport for check-in and your flight home, after getting a real taste of classic Spain.

Further Information

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately one hour.

Alhambra Palace excursion

Due to the uneven ground and steps at the Alhambra Palace in Granada, this included excursion may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties or for wheelchair users.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Itinerary changes

Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
