When I booked I thought it was two days in York. We were taken to the german market in leeds on the Saturday. It took about 20 minutes to look around this market. We then had a further 4 hours in leeds. We had not come on this trip to visit the big stores which were very crowded. We were worried about finding our way back to the meeting point in the dark in an unfamiliar city.

The hotel was very basic and although the food was good the dinning area was not a pleasant place to spend any time.

york was lovely we all enjoyed our time here. The feeling of the whole coach was that we thought we were getting two days in york when we booked. This is what it should of been. Should of been a better hotel in york even if the trip cost more.

the hotel was very basic. Food very good but 7dining area was not a very

Apart from having to wait for people who had not turned up at Windsor (which was not Newmarket's fault), therefore we arrived a bit late on the Saturday in Leeds, the Yorkshire Christmas Fair was brilliant, and we would recommend this to anyone.

The break was good but it was advitised as York but we spent longer in Leeds the day before and there market was so small we ended up going into the town with normal shops.
York was fantastic but we only spent 4 hours which was no way near enough time to see all of the market nor have lunch.
Please please please do a trip to York ONLY. If you this next year myself,my mum and 2 aunties will definitely go. Otherwise we will make our own way there and not use your service again.

Dear Lisa, thank you for leaving a review. This holiday was promoted as visiting York and Leeds and most feedback we receive indicates that the dual visits are popular. We appreciate that it does not always suit everyone, however and note that you would prefer longer in York.

A very good break.

A consideration for next time - there was a group of us that were catholic and wanted to go to church. It would have been nice to do this in Leeds on the Saturday evening. Mass was at 6pm and the coach picked us up opposite at 6.30pm. If this was extended until 7pm mass could have been included.

Also the service in the resturant (in the hotel) was appalling and the food luke warm when served. Rooms however were good.

Coach driver and tour operator superb!

Trip was worth it to see York Christmas Market.

Terrible long journey with six pick-up stops that made our trip to Leeds 6 and a half hours. Even longer coming back from York the next day which meant we only had three and a half hours in York! This was the highlight of the trip and we did not have long enough here to do all that we expected to do. The coach drop off point on York was too far away from the town/markets and the long walk was exhausting for elderly clients like my mother.

Dear Lisa, we are sorry to learn that the weekend did not meet with your full approval.

Very occasionally we receive insufficient response from a particular area to make operation possible on a whole coach and it becomes necessary to combine with another area in order for the tour to proceed. You will appreciate, I am sure, that these group travel arrangements revolve around full coaches and we are offering the holidays by many different newspapers and pick-up points on the same departure dates. Our Operations Department tries to ensure that pick-ups are en-route with the minimum of inconvenience to our customers and its planning process is dictated by the most appropriate coach routing for the pick-up points requested. It may be reassuring to know that each tour route is planned individually and it is unlikely that the same will be used for future tours.

We usually allow 3-4 hours at each attraction. With a group tour of this nature there will always be some who would prefer a longer or indeed shorter time but your visit to York was of average length.

We are subject to very stringent parking regulations in most major cities nowadays and are instructed where to park. We apologise for the inconvenience this caused your mother.

All feedback has been passed to the relevant Product team as part of their regular review process. We are always looking at ways to make improvements whenever possible. Thank you for bringing these points to our attention.

Trip to York was fantastic but more time would have been appreciated.

The trip to Leeds was good but there was not nearly enough time as we had to get our evening meal whilst there as we were advised that the hotel would not be able to serve food as they had a wedding reception that evening. Hotel was poor. The room was not very clean and had no tea/coffee etc, although reception did provide some. Also, I had booked two rooms and they were on different floors which was slightly inconvenient.
